WDW "Vacation A Day" Contest!

I saw something on a monring news show about today being "Blue Monday" and today at work, it sure felt like it. Just a little contest-winning daydreaming got me through the day.:surfweb:
Here's hoping for someone to win!!

I pulled in the driveway tonight and there was an envelope leaning on my front door. I was so excited, I couldn't get out of the car fast enough. I literally ran up there, and when I flipped it over, I totally expected to see that it was Ventura Associates. Sadly, it was from Intuit... card readers for our Girl Scout cookie sale to take credit cards with our phones. :sad2:

Still hoping for pixiedust:

is the phone number only a 212 area code or could it be from a different area code?

Ten days left. Here's one pixiedust: for everyone for each day...

I am hoping that many people get discourage that they didn't win and not submit a daily entry or didn't realize they had to enter everyday (except all of you) so it increases our odds of winning.

Tomorrow is my birthday. Do you suppose that could bring me some luck??? :yay: Here's to hoping someone hears some good news!

The contest administrator is in 212 and that's where prior winners who got a call received it from. So I think it's pretty likely to be from 212.

I think I've figured out why I haven't heard anything:

We live so far out in the boonies that Fedex is lost trying to find us! ;) I can dream anyway!

Good luck y'all! Lots of love and pixiedust: to all

has any disers won?? this is crazy the 21st day, and no word from anyone.... last year there were like 3 in the first week! starting to make me feel like every time we enter, it really isn't going anywhere.. internet space.. HOpe someone on here wins soon!

The rules say something about when addresses (plural) are available people will be notified so maybe they are doing it in batches.

So, I decided to read the official rules again. To try to figure out why they haven't notified me yet that I won, of course!

But I stumbled across something I hadn't paid attention to before. It says:

"Each Canadian resident who is a potential winner will be required to answer correctly a mathematical skill testing question without assistance of any kind whether mechanical or otherwise to be declared a Winner and be eligible to collect a prize."

What the....? A math contest for Canadians?! Really glad I'm from the US because I'm lost without a calculator!

A lot of sweepstakes have this "math skills" test for Canadian residents and it is sometimes in the entry form itself. It's usually really easy such as (4 x 2) - 3 = ? I have no clue what this is supposed to prove however. :confused3

Fedex stopped by my house this morning, but it was just GF cake mix. I liked it better when all my online merchants only used UPS, LOL.

Not me- I'm still religiously entering every day! Right now we are planning on not making a WDW trip this year because after last years trip with MDE/FP+ DH and I can't stomach spending the money on a trip with they way things are at WDW right now, but if they GAVE me a trip... :rotfl:

I still can't believe we have NO Disers reporting a win, when so many won last time. Maybe they have figured out who we are and deleted all our entries due to our complaing about MDE/FP+ ;)

Canadians have an anti gambling law and to bypass the law they include a "skill" included in the contest. It's a loophole in their system. Weird, but it's Canada. Ha!!

I'm quite sure it would be something very simple that a 4 grader or even lower could do. Its just to satisfy some sort anti sweepstakes type rule which makes this a "contest of skill".

As far as I know, it also means we don't pay taxes on prizes won. At least contests in Canada. Not sure about contests in the US.

My mom just won a 50' flat screen smart tv and sound bar and paid nothing.
