WDW "Vacation A Day" Contest!

I am so amazed that there hasn't been a Dis winner yet! I found out about the contest late(on the 6th or so?) and have been entering myself every day since and DH about a day after I found out, and every day since. Would love to win to use for an anniversary trip for ourselves! I would want to stay in one of the monorail resorts, as I never have and don't think I could afford it ever ha ha. Question though, you think that somone could add on a cruise after wards? Ive already been planning our anniversary trip to the world as a land and sean thing, so if I won, I'd want to go with that original plan!

Yes, you can extend your stay or add on a cruise (of course, paying for the extras). We have talked about adding on a cruise as well......but we can't afford a Disney cruise so we would just extend the days out for our flight home, get a rental car and probably cruise on Carnival.

I have entered every day since Jan. 1. I too am surprised no one from the Disboards has won yet but it is only 11 days in.

The kicker is that someone on the DIS won 3 days or so in to the contest last year. Strange... But still holding out hope!

I doubt we'll hear anything over the weekend so at least we have two days not to worry about 212 calls and FedEx trucks LOL!

If we were lucky enough to win it'd be a new trip for us. I have a feeling if I don't win a trip we won't be back at Disney for awhile. My trips are either just me and DH or I go with my parents who have custody of an extended family member's child to help out because my parents are older. My mom is 'Disney'd out' and my DH would be fine going once every 5-10 years probably. He likes WDW but he doesn't like taking the same trip regularly. I don't either but I would prefer a 2 year rotation to WDW. Since DH and i went in 2013 it'll be awhile!

I'd either pick GF, CR, or YC....we've stayed deluxe but never at a monorail resort so I might use the prize as an opportunity to do that finally.

Yes they do. My daughter won the 2014 American girl doll of the year Isabelle from radio Disney the Sunday before New Years and it was delivered that next Saturday by FedEx. We were expecting a 6 weeks wait but it came three days after it was released. now if we can just win the trip it would be awesome. Pushing for disneyland if we win. We are AP holders to WDW but would love to go to DL when the haunted mansion is decorated for the nightmare before Christmas.

Do you remember what time of day you got the call? I am also obsessively checking my phone to make sure I have service, haven't missed a call or have a message. It might help me be more productive at work if I knew they would only call at ____ time.

I do remember because I was at the grocery store. It was between 8:30 and 10am my time!

We would take another trip. We aren't planning to go right now til Dec. and that is so FAR away.

I feel our pain. We are undecided if we are going to go for Halloween or Christmas time this year. Feels so far away .
So I would love to experience two trips this year. we could also plan a trip to both coast for each of our sons birthdays, July birthday at DLR and December birthday at WDW
