WDW "Vacation A Day" Contest!

go next year around Halloween, trying to hit F&W, MNSSHP, and MVMCP all in one go. :cool1:

We did this in November and it was really great experiencing so much in one trip (all first-time things for our family). But I must say out of all the new things we did this trip, Osbourne Lights were my favorite!

If we won, we would probably choose DL because we have never been there and really want to experience Cars Land. For us, going to DL costs as much as WDW, so it is not worth it in our eyes, but we'd take an (almost) free trip (we would still have to pay for a few kids tickets, extra accommodations and food). We have APs to WDW and would not fly, so that trip would almost be not worth it unless we could save the free tickets to renew four of our APs at a later date.

Just remember contest winners have to pay taxes also-taxes are not covered.:)

Does my, I mean whoever wins, trip have to be planned for 2014? Or can I go in 2015? Just plotting my trips, muah hahahahaha. :rolleyes1

I thought I remembered this in the rules. Basically, you have a year from the time the contest ends, so yes you can go in 2015. If you go in January. :)

A Winner must take either Trip 1 or Trip 2 on dates selected by Winner, subject to availability and approval by Disney between February 1, 2014 and January 31, 2015, or Prize will be forfeited in its entirety and, at Sponsor’s discretion, awarded to an alternate winner at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

Perfect, I will take my trip in January ;) Thanks!

Oops- I did have it mixed up with the American tourister prize.

Sorry for the confusion!!

Read over most of the rules -

Says it's a standard room of Disney's hotel choice.

Also, one entry per day at a physical address, not one per email address.

Incorrect. It clearly states one entry per day per person/email address.

Agree...I double checked and then triple checked. We have 3 people living here that are over the age of 18...everyone has their own email address. So everyone has been entering each day, via their email address. I wanted to be absolutely sure that it was allowed, so triple checked the rules.

I reminded my husband that if he gets an email or phone call from a 212 area code to answer. That I have been entering him into this contest. With my luck he'd be the one to win and delete email or not answer phone lol.

Grrrrr.......I forgot to enter yesterday! One less chance for me :(

Here's a little reminder that makes a great desktop on Windows machines...

If you are watching the Disney Celebrity videos each day,I hope you like Disney Channel!lol:)

Did 'anyone' actually read the rules??

Disney 'picks' the hotel and it's a standard room. Where is everyone getting all their 'fantasy' expectations of winning from?? (castle suite, choice of hotels, rooms, etc.) :confused3

I'll take 'whatever', but from the rules the choice is Disney's, not the winners.

It's also 'limited' to a group of 4 (winner + 3).
Many of us have read the rules and many of us also followed the postings from last year's winners. They were allowed to chose their top 3 hotels (including deluxe) and then Disney "picked" the hotel probably based on availability for the winner's travel dates. Every hotel on the property has "standard" rooms.
Previous winners also added more members to their travel party by paying for anyone over the 4 included in the sweeps. Disney would not tell a family of 5 that they can't bring (and pay for) their 3rd child - and how could they stop it?

I'm really really excited about this! I liked it when they posted the winner's names on the website… I guess we just have to assume they're contacting people. I can't wait to see if anyone on the DIS wins!! :)

If I remember correctly from last year, it was a few weeks into the contest before they started posting the winners' names on the website :thumbsup2

Where are they posting the winners?

Where are they posting the winners?

A few years ago for the One More Disney Day sweepstakes they posted the winners on the website, but I don't remember the other contests having this, unless I missed it.
