I am sure plenty of you alread know about this book, but I was at B&N yesterday and came across "The WDW Trivia Book" by Louis A. Mongello. I cannot put it down! I love all the useless trivia about my favorite place!
I am only in the first chapter, but here is a smapling...
Q: How many acres of the 30,000 acres that make up WDW are actually developed?
A: 7,100. WDW comprises 47 square miles of land. 1/4 is developed and 1/4 is set aside as conservation land. There is plebnty of room for expansion!
There are 167 miles of paved lane roads on WDW propert.
WDW is over 100 times bigger than DL
Bay Lake is only 12 feet deep. There are more than 2.385 billion gallons of water in Bay Lake and the adjoining Seven seas Lagoon. They are WDW's two largest lakes that cover 596 acres together. Bay Lake is natural while Seven Seas is completely man made.
Christmas Day is the busiest day at WDW. At MK, there are 12,213 parking spaces. by 10 a.m. they are all filled.
Ok, just thought I'd share. I always enjoy when folks on the board post some WDW trivia, so now I have a book full of it!
ETA: Whoops! I just did a "search" (guess I should have done that before posting, huh?) and I see this book has been discussed before. I am usually only on the Restaurants board and this board so I had not seen it.
