Today was the 1st day DD didnt need any painkillers  :cool1: :worship:
Today was also mum & dads last full day before they head home tomorrow :(:sad1:

WE headed over to Animal Kingdom, we arranged to meet mum & dad near the forest trail after we'd rode EE, trouble was we couldnt find them :(
So we went back to EE & rode it again on a FP went back to the trail - still couldnt find them!! So we walked through the trail to see if we could spot them inside, saw the gorillas really up close it was amazing!

we sat on a bench near Yak & Yeti looking through the crowds looking for mum & dad until our ADR was due - no sign of them!!
We headed into Yak & Yeti -j ust as it started to rain.
The restaurant decor was lovely - i spent ages walking around & videoing but forgot to take any pics!! :(
i ordered the mahi mahi in Japanese breadcrumbs in sweet & sour sauce with rice - this was one of the best meals i had :)
DH had sweet & sour chk & again was delish
DD had a starter as her main course - Wonton soup with prawn crackers - lovely :)
Would definatly recommend this restaurant :)

we rode dinosaur & had another hilarous pic!! how come this ride scares us even though we've rode it many times???

We were taking a pic & photopass cast member who was training a new recruit asked if they could take one of us with our camera - you bet!!

We gave up on finding mum & dad & headed back to POP at 2.30pm mum & dad arrived at 3.30pm! Not the last day together we had planned!!
We went in the pool :)

Had a 9.20pm ADR at California Grill, one of the best meals on our previous trip
when we ate last time they bought dad a lovely piece of choc birthday cake & DD was anticipating this - i tried to tell her its not gauranted but i had told the restaurant it was her birthday.

We waited to be seated & were called at 9.45pm (Wishes were at 10pm & i'd timed this especially ;))

Our server was Bill by the time he'd took our order it was nearly time for wishes so i asked him to wait to bring out the food till after - i got a funny look for this!!! i was suprised as it had been suggested on our last trip!!!
so off we went outside to ready to view - it was a lovely warm evening & my eyes were watering as i watched!

We headed back in - our table had mickey confetti on it for DD's birthday :)
BUT Bill had dissapeared, several diferent people bought our starters & took them away! I had the goats cheese raviloi as i'd enjoyed it soooo nuch last time & it was still good :)
A ladyarrived at out table & served us for the rest of the evening no explanation as to what had happened to Bill & no introduction to her! but looking at her name tag it was Becky & we decided Bill must have been at the end of his shift & maybe that was why he wasnt pleased we wanted to go out for wishes as he missed his tip!!
Becky seemed in a hurry! mum & i ordered a bottle of californian zinfandel expecting a rose wine which we always had been given when ordering this - we got a strong red mum was certain it was a claret but Becky insisted it was what we'd asked for, later she offered to change it but we were half way through by then so we declined, i had the same main course as our last visit but i didnt enjoy it as much - Becky whisked our plate away
At the start of the meal we were told if anyone wanted the Vaharla (SP??) dessert they had to order when the main course came as they needed time to prepare so i ordered it, when dessert time came they bought my dessert & 5 spoons!!!!! They never even asked if anyone else wanted to ordera dessert!!!!
This on top of getting my well done pork wrong (got Rare & DH got well done!!)
DD sat expectantly with her birthday badge on show & they didnt bring her anything hadnt even wished her happy birthday!! DD was gutted :(
as Becky started to clear our table dad lightly mentioned DD's birthday & Becky said oh yes i forgot...dissapeared & came back with the choc cake boxed up, we took the hint & payed & left!!...with the cake!

After our last meal here was fantastic as was the service we left this time very dissapointed!!

Next time - saying bye to mum & dad :( & HOB gospel brunch :)

Oh what a shame about the day and CG :( As for the wine there is a red called Zinfandel and the rose is white Zinfandel, I am guessing that they didn't think to confirm which you wanted, as the rose is more commonly known and often shortened to Zin or white Zin :(

Claire ;)

Aww, what a shame about the service at CG. I also have the Beringer White Zinfandel (rosé) when in WDW - Mmmm :thumbsup2

Such a shame about the service at CG. :sad2:

Thanks everyone :)
Would i do CG again??? not sure on that, i love the fireworks from their but the service kinda spoilt the atmosphere!
it was such an outstanding experience the 1st time i suppose they had a lot to live up to!
