WDW Trip Christmas 2007 question

We took our first family WDW trip in Oct and we really want to go back. We want to go during Christmas this time, like the 16th - 23rd of 2007. Hubby and I are going to Carribean in March of 2007 for our anniversary so I would like to start paying on the WDW trip as soon as I could so that paying of both trips in same year doesn't hurt so much I love the way you can book with Disney and then pay on it up until the 45 days out but didn't know how far out you can book to do that.

I believe you will be able to book Dec 2007 around June/August of 2006> I am sure that if I am wrong someone wil correct me. What you could do in between that time is save a certain amount ebery month for the Disney trip. That way once you book it you caould put down all the money you have saved up.

I believe that you can book a room-only ressie now for 2007, even though they do not have their 2007 rates out yet. You will pay the one night's deposit based on the 2006 rate but you are not guaranteed a 2006 rate for your stay. They will adjust your ressie later, when 2007 rates are announced. It's just that you cannot book a package for 2007 yet. If you have your heart set on a package, you can always book the room now and change the ressie to a package at a later date.

If you've decided that you don't want/need a package, you can set aside saved money and purchase your passes when you have enough cash. This "ties" your money up so that you cannot spend it and pretty much guarantees you that you will go back to WDW someday.

I prefer to make my deposit for my ressie and then put the money aside in a savings account that is especially for my trip. The money earns interest and I don't have to concern myself with fighting for a refund if the trip should be cancelled. But sending the money to Disney every month works better for a lot of people.
