This will be our first time needing an ECV. My DH was recently dx'd with MS and has difficulty walking long distances. So, we are renting a ECV since we are used to going all day at Disney.

I have read that you can still get on the monorail with an ECV, right? And, of course, the buses will accomodate.

My question is that normally for early breakfasts that are not in the parks (O'hana, 1900 PF), we usually take a cab for convenience. Am I to assume that there is no way to take a cab AND bring the ECV?

If not, what is the fastest way to get to Poly and Grand Floridian first thing in the morning? Last time we missed the "breakfast bus" for Crystal Palace because we didn't know what time it ran.

I have my dining reservations and I am trying to plan out my iteniarary, but I have to factor in the ECV now.

TIA!

All of the rental ECVs are designed to break down and fit in the trunk of a car. So it should be able to fit in a taxicab.

An additional option would be to contact Mears (which has the Disney taxi contract) the day before at 407-422-2222 and reserve an accessible cab. They have more than 20 of them and they do not cost any more than regular taxis. Then you should be able to just drive the ECV into the cab.

An accessible taxi would be perfect since we will be heading to the parks immediately after breakfast.

Thanks for the info!!!
