(I posted this on the budget board, but I'm trying to post on several in case anyone knows the answer - it really doesn't fall under the "budget" category, but I'm not sure what it does fall under..)

My friend just got back from a week at WDW - one of her sons got a light thingie when he was there - it spins around inside a glass/plastic thing (kinda like those things that spin around with propellers, but this one was contained in some sort of "dome" - sorry it's hard for me to describe, since I haven't actually seen this one, but I know what she's talking about) - anyway - it has stopped working (they just came back on Wed!) - it said Walt Disney World on it, so it isn't something that can be replaced at the DS (and we don't have one here anyway)

is there anything that can be done? If so, who can she contact? She thinks it's a lost cause, but I think Disney would want to make this right! Her son is pretty disappointed -

Thanks in advance!

Carol

The ones from Disney on ice are gauranteed for 2 years. You could try calling 1-800-755-1530. I still have the card from last show. That is the number. They also give the following address:
Quality Assurance Department, Sells-Floto, Inc.
8607 Westwood Center Drive
Vienna, VA 22182.

Good Luck

My niece bought an walking elephant toy in a store at MGM, and it's head popped off on the plane on the way home, and couldn't be fixed. My niece was very gentle with it, didn't do anything that would have caused it to break. I called Disney merchandising using the number on the sales receipt, and gave them the item number, and they replaced it no questions asked.

Those are great suggestions - does anyone happen to have the phone number? I'm not sure if they kept the receipt.

Thanks!!

Have you checked the batteries. There should be a access door secured with a small screw on the side. Usually takes 2 AA batts.

DD has had a pooh spinner for about 3 years and we always take it with us to WDW so we dont have to buy another. We have replaced the batteries a few times.

Hi,
Thanks for the replies - she did say that she changed the batteries and it didn't help -

We had a Pooh spinner that stopped working when we returned home a couple of years ago. Like the other poster said, I called Disney and they sent me a new one, no questions asked. I was willing to pay for it, I just wanted another one, but they sent one for free. I can't remember, but I think I called the number on the receipt. If they don't have that, I'd think you cold get ahold of anyone at Disney and they'd be able to set you in the right direction.

Yes, Disney is very good about taking care of you. I bought a darling Mickey calculator and when I got it home, the read out was not showing all of the numbers. I called Disney Merchandise at 1-407-363-6200 and they replaced it at no charge. They also did not want me to send the defective calculator back. :earsgirl:
