WDW Tonight 9PM Food Network Behind the Bash

We love Behind the Bash and Giada is on tonight. Here is some more information:

Disney's Anniversary Blow Out
Giada heads to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, to attend a spectacular bash celebrating 50 years of Disney theme park magic. With more than 3,000 VIP’s invited to a 50th anniversary celebration of Walt Disney’s first theme park, the catering team at Walt Disney World kicks into action to make sure it’s a party worthy of the Disney name. On the menu are such delectable treats as Mongolian Beef, Shrimp with Crab Claws, Two Terrific Tacos, and a Butterfinger Cheesecake that would do Mickey proud. But as the clock ticks down to the big event, the team has a lot of challenges to deal with — including a brewing storm that threatens to rain on Mickey’s parade!

Thank you so very much. I had just finished marking the Disney show just before and would not have known that Behind the Bash was a Disney show.

Having a friend who had a giant celebration last year it will be interesting seeing it all from Disney's perspective.

Thank you for the information, I too, like SlightlyGoofy, wouldn't have known that this was a Disney themed show. I know that my DS (13) will want to watch the show. He loves the Food Network and has said for years that he wants to be a Chef. So of course, I am supporting him 100% and told him that he would fit in at WDW as a Chef and he likes the idea. He watched the Holidays at WDW on Sunday and got a big kick out of what they do for the holidays.

My only question is this though, why are they basing so much at WDW for Disneyland's 50th? You would think that they would be doing more there. I have seen 10X as many commercials for Walt Disney World as I have for Disneyland in regards to the 50th Celebration. Kinda weird.

I am guessing that since DW is ten or more times larger than DL they are trying to fill up the rooms there. Also many people would not want to go as far as CA. Just a guess.

I've been keeping an eye on this program, just waiting for this episode. I'll have to be sure my Tivo records it.

Some of the bias between WDW and DL comes from regional advertising: WDW is more heavily marketed east of the Rocky Mountains, while DL gets a bit more airtime west of the Rocky Mountains. Nationally, of course WDW will be featured more, since it is substantially bigger.

First off, Giada is like sixteen flavors of hot. Love her. Loved the show, the food, the behind the scenes stuff.

Anybody else get the feeling if you pinned her arms to her sides, Giada wouldn't be able to talk? Meh. All my Italian friends are the same way.

Probably going to have to make sure DW sees this on a rerun. She loves Giada and Disney, so this will be a good match.
