WDW to Port transportation options

Hi All,

We are adding a few days at the WDW Beach Club to our cruise vacation and are trying to figure out transportation options. Mears seems to have the best rates from the airport to the hotel but I'm trying to figure out the best way to get from the hotel to the ship. I know we could take the DCL shuttle, but I'd really like to arrive a little earlier so I can make Palo reservations. Has anyone priced out the best option for getting from WDW to the port?

It depends totally on your party size. The "break even" point between DCL transfers and private limo service is 3. WHat I mean is that if you are 2 people, DCL transfers are cheaper. 3 or more, private limo is cheaper because you pay per vehicle, not per person.

There is a coupon for private limo (Happy Limo) at www.castawayclub.com. Every little bit counts, right? There are several limo services available...they are all about the same price.

Personally, I prefer a private car service since there is no waiting for the bus, for the bus to fill up, unload etc. And obviously the fact that you can go early. To me, going earlier is worth the price difference.

I thought about leaving early too when we go on our WDW vacation cruise. We will be staying at the Port Orleans but I think I read that the WDW Cruise Line buses do not start to pick up from the resort till around 11.30am or so.
I wanted to get to the ship a little earlier to board and make ressies at the spa for my wife/kids.
