WDW time again... complete trip photos finally posted!

Great photos! Jack with pink hair :lmao: You'll have to bring those photos out about the time he graduates from high school!

Very nice! :thumbsup2 I loved the perspective on the back scratchers! I remember the photo from the last time of all your gear thinking wow that's alot of stuff so I wasn't so surprised this time. :rotfl:

I want to go back so badly and I have a 40% off hotel pin code burning a hole in my pocket. I look at it every day hoping I get to use it. ;)

Great shots again. Going to AK for evening EMH is one of my "musts" for our trip this year. I don't usually do EMH, but after seeing how different it looks at night I figured this will be the one time I make an exception.

My favorite shots are the one with the train from EE going down the hill in the background and the one of that weird statue asian looking statue head (I'm guessing around EE since those are the pics it's grouped in with).

Last trip, AK was our least favorite park and we were considering skipping it but now that I see the wealth of photo opportunities it provides, I'm really excited to visit. :hyper:

Loving the photos and the mini report. I'm glad the crowds have become more manageable.

I really enjoyed the night pictures of the AK. We have only ever been there during the day. I guess I will have to correct that. :)

Groucho......Enjoying your night shots as well as the fish eye shots! Thanks for taking the time out of your trip to share them. I know every trip we take, I'm so wiped out and in need of sleep, there's no way I could find the time to upload pics to my site and then post something each night/morning. Good job. :thumbsup2

Groucho,

as usual, great pictures. Thanks for sharing.

Really quick update... I'm sitting in the hotel room eating my apple pie from Olivia's. We were going to eat at Tutto Italia but Jack started vomiting this afternoon and after about 5-6 times, we decided to call it an evening. He seems fine now, no vomiting for a few hours and he seems like his old self again. Hopefully it's all over...

I'm probably heading back solo to Epcot for Illuminations, though. Tripod in hand. :teeth: Fortunately I have the best wife in the world who is fine with me doing that. Best kid too - even if he makes us crazy sometimes, he's so well-behaved when he's sick. Poor guy...

I am enjoying your report- fine work as usual. Hope Jack feels better soon!

Oh no! Hope Jack feels better soon! Can't wait to see the Illuminations shots.

Hope Jack feels better. Great photos, as usual!

Thanks everyone! Jack seems to be doing much better. He hasn't eaten much but stopped vomiting around when I wrote the last update. Thank goodness we're still in a one-bedroom so we have a washer/dryer; we're moving to a studio tomorrow.

The Jack story... Initially, we were about the do the Waste Management game in Innoventions, which Jack likes (you get to push around big trucks), and right as the WM guy was finishing his pre-game spiel, Jack yacked all over the place. He seemed better and after some quiet time (and was trying to say "sorry" to the folks working at that game!), decided to give Spaceship Earth a whack. Again, right as we were about to step onto the load platform, another big vomit. We got out of there and he had a few small ones (not much left in his tummy!) over the next couple hours, so we decided to call it a day. The problem was that we had reservations at Tutto Italia. We canceled those and eventually I was able to go to Olivia's (at Old Key West, where we're staying), sit down and eat dinner by myself, and get everything else to go.

I got my stuff ready to head out to Illuminations, had my tripod and camera bag, got onto an Epcot bus that showed up almost immediately, then went to put the quick-release plate onto the camera... and realized I left it at our room! :crazy2: Fortunately we'd just gotten as far as getting turned around and the driver let me off. I made it there by just after 8 and was able to get a pretty darn good spot near the Future World entrance.

I've said it before... but I love Illuminations. Last time I saw it (last trip), I was distracted by some technical issues. No such problems this time and I really had a blast watching the show. I enjoy it much more than Wishes and virtually as much as Fantasmic. (This trip, I enjoyed it more, after being stuck in the SRO section!) I also managed to take more shots during that short trip than the rest of the day combined. As you can guess, it was not a great day for picture-taking!

Lightroom is exporting photos now, I'll probably have a few soon.

My favorite shots are the one with the train from EE going down the hill in the background and the one of that weird statue asian looking statue head (I'm guessing around EE since those are the pics it's grouped in with).
Yup, that is in the Everest gift shop (which is full of cool stuff!)

Well, I have to get those memory cards unloaded and I'm anxious to at least get a quick glance at my shots each day. Uploading them doesn't take too long and posting the pics doesn't take too long... updates like this one take a little longer but it's fun getting the instant feedback!

must be a bug going around, granddaughter did the same thing once at artist point( all over a innocent bypasser's shoes:sad2: ) and once at boatwrights all over the table, yumyum...she got a bad cold as soon as she got home just to let you know to look forward to . although really i don't think i've been to wdw with out seeing at least one kid yacking in the bushes:lmao: hopefully it won't mess up your trip any further

Yeah, with all the rich food and excitement and rides, it's a miracle that it doesn't resemble a kids version of the end of "Monty Python's Meaning of Life" around here. :lmao: It's surprising for us though as Jack has never been a barfer; he very, very rarely gets sick. So far he's been averaging about 1-2 vomiting spells a year - not bad for a kid his age! Needless to say, though, we have a leftover Test Track fastpass for him. There's no way I was putting him on there after all that! :sad2:

OK, some new pics for the day... several fisheyes in there to satisfy your fishy needs!

I was very sad to see that the yeti destroyed a beautiful old Pentax Spotmatic! This is a camera that I'm actually hoping to pick up a copy of one of these days... guess there's one less of them in the world now. :)

Awesome pics as usual Groucho!! Glad to hear Jack is feeling better. Its disappointing for sure to get sick like that when you are on vacation. But I think its even more disappointing to have a sick kid on a trip. Sounds like he's a little trooper though!

I love this shot of the old Pentax Spotmatic. I think there are still a few out there. There was one sold at the auction where I work about 3 months ago for less than $25. I actually thought about bidding on it for my son. He has all my old Pentax film gear and still uses it from time to time.

I hate those d@mn stomach bugs. At least the kids usually bounce back from them quickly! My girls are unbelievably sweet when they're sick too--it's like they realize how disgusting they are and for once appreciate what you're doing for them. :lmao:

Thanks for not sharing pictures of that part of your trip. ;) Hope he's all better today and that everyone else stays well!

Glad to hear Jack's doing better! I hope it doesn't have an impact on the rest of your trip.

Love those fish-eyes! I just love the wait area for Soarin'! So pretty! This is all making me very anxious for my May trip. :hyper:

second shot =:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 !!and great sharp shot of the globe

More great pics groucho!!! Love the fisheye pic. I had a chance to go to illuminations twice by my self on our last trip just for the sake of taking pics. I just love that show. It was also nice to walk around world showcase while everybody hurried out to the buses. Great time to take pics with no crowds in them.

Glad to hear jack is feeling better!!Awaiting more pics!!!! Keep them coming.
