We're going with my parents to WDW in December. My parents last visit there was back in 1991. They each have one day left on their 3 day tickets that were purchased in 1991. The tickets do not have an expiration date on them and they say they are only good for the three parks (at that time, before AK). Can they still use these tickets? We'll be there for 3 days, so can they use these old tickets one day and then purchase a 2 day park hopper for the next two days?
Thanks for any information!!

As long as your sure they have the one day on them. You can just bring them to your resort if you are staying onsite an they can verify them. If you are going to purchase your tickets before you leave then buy them a two day and you can always upgrade it to three day if for some reason their old ticket doesn't work. Good Luck! :goodvibes

The remaining day is still usable but the media it is on is not. You will need to take that 1991 ticket to Guest Relations and they will exchange it at no charge for a current one with the magnetic strip on it. That new one will be usable in all four theme parks.

They will definitely have to exchange the tickets for new format ones, but I don't think they will be able to be used at Animal Kingdom, as that part wasn't open at the time the tickets were purchased.

A couple of years ago Disney did away with the rule that the ticket is only good for the parks that existed at the time of purchase. Once the old ticket is exchaged for a new ticket it will be valid at any of the 4 parks.

Golden Oldie, That is Guest Relations at the Parks or can they do it at their Resort Guest Services??

The Lobby Concierge desk (formerly Guest Services) should now be able to do it as long as the CM on duty there knows the procedure. Guest Relations, OTOH, does this transaction nearly every day. The choice is yours.
