WDW tickets - best option for us?

It's a long time since I've had to buy any park tickets as we've managed our last trips using up old hopper passes. So I'd appreciate some advice, please!

Our next 8 day trip will include just one day in WDW park(s) (terrible, I know, but sadly true! ;) ). We have planned only one park day, but we will actually be in Orlando for longer than one day, and could probably use another day for some flexibility if there was little difference in cost.

For our party of 5:

  • 2 need tickets for this trip, but would use tickets up on future trips if a non-expiry multi-day pass worked better
  • 1 needs a ticket and is very unlikely to go again.
  • 2 have one day left on old hopper tickets so they're ready to go, unless the new tickets purchased for the others have more than one day, so then they'd need extras to match!

What would you suggest is our best option, and where should we purchase our tickets?

Hi Hilary :)

Here's a link to the DIS Ticket Info pages:

If you go for a 2 day ticket then I would add the hopper option to give you some flexibility and perhaps, in case you don't end up using the second day, the non-expire option :)
Total cost - $198.51 (£105 depending on exchange rate).

Normal single day ticket is: $71.36 ($119 with hopper option).

If you plan to go back to WDW again in the next few years it may be worth getting more days with the non-expiry option so you can use them in the future (like you old hopper tickets).

We always get the Magic Your Way tickets, our 10 day pass with hopper/non expiry facility have lasted 2 holidays so far.
Guess we do not visit Disney parks excessively and they work for us. You can get allsorts of different varations on these tickets.

Got them from www.mapleleaftickets.com - discounted prices and excellent service.

The first three days of a park ticket are practically full price. After that, the price goes down dramatically. When you get up to 6th day and beyond, it's just a few dollars per day.

The non-expiration option is something to look at, but it's expensive too.

How often do you visit? If you just do a day or two every once in a while, you may be better off buying single day tickets as you need them.

You could probably save money with a 10-day non-expiring ticket, but it would mean making the investment now for many return trips.

Do the math each way and see which one works best for your budget.
