WDW Tickets - best deals?

My husband, myself and our 2 daughters (2 1/2 and 6) will be coming down in January '13.

We want to do Magic Kindom 1.5 days, EPCOT 1 day and maybe Hollywood Studios (1 day). Wondering what type of tix you suggest (Hoppers?) and where to buy?

So far I think these are out options - wondering which is best (cheapest);

- Military tix (my husband is in the Air Nat Guard)
- At the main gate for the parks?
- Off property via ticket/hopper resalers?
- AAA?

We are renting a house with friends and not purchasing a package through Disney.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

I would check Military I think they usually get the best discounts on Theme park tickets as they should

If your visit will be no more than four days in the Parks your absolute best choice is the 2012/2103 Armed Forces Salute tickets. Note that in military you can also get very good discounts on your room and if you want, you can also get the Dining Plan.

If you go to this thread in the Disney Promotions Forum you can get a lot of very useful information.

Second choice would be either AAA or an Authorized Reseller, both tend to be about a 5% discount from Gate.

I'm not in the military, so the best deal I've found is Undercover Tourist dot com. If you subscribe to the Mousesavers newsletter, it's even cheaper when you buy through their link to Undercover Tourist (newsletter is emailed on the 15th of each month).

I've used them twice now, and will use them again next trip. Great savings, and the prices they show include all taxes (unlike when you buy them from Disney).


For example -- 2 adult & 2 child 4 day park hoppers through Disney: $1297.18 + shipping.
Same tickets through Undercover Tourist via the Mousesavers link: $1211.81 with free shipping
