this summer we are looking to go to vero beach for 3 days at the end of our next summer trip. there is one catch though, well actually a few catches, we are not driving. we have my wife and DS#1 taking the train into orlando and myself and DS#2 fly out of MCO.

car service to vero and back to wdw. then off to the airport and then to amrtrak for the trip home. there has to be a better way to add this to our vacation. does DVC have any transportation to vero and back, i think i already know this answer, no but i hopeing that somebody has an idea other then what i had mentioned already. first check has happy limo listed as one way to vero at 170 dollars one way.

had posted this accidently in someone esle's thread and if the op of that thread reads this again accept my apology

We have always rented a car to go to VB - no great ideas here - perhaps there is a bus schedule/service that goes to Vero Beach and then you can hop a cab to the resort?

Your most cost efficient option is probably to a rent a car (assuming you are all travelling at the same time)

My other idea is perhaps there is an executive airport you can fly to in VB - have you looked into flying into Melbourne airport (I would think though costs would be higher than rental car)

Cheers

A rental car can be picked up a WDW Dolphin Resort or the Care Care Center for the few days you'll be at Vero Beach. It can also be dropped off at the airport.

Don't know where you are originating from, but we now take the Amtrak Auto Train from Lorton, VA to Sanford, Fla. (close to Orlando). This way we pack everything we want or need in our car, beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, suitcases, everything, and when we get off the train we have our own car to drive. It works great for us. The trip from WDW to VB is about 2 hours. Good luck. :thumbsup2

thnanks to all who answered. i think that if we do go the car rental at the S&D is the way to go

A rental car is really your best option. It will also give you the flexibility to explore beyond the resort at Vero.
