Total cruise newbie here! If planning a cruise leaving from Port Canaveral in Orlando following a few days in WDW, how would transportation work? We're not renting a car, so what's the best way to get from the resort to the ship and then from the ship to the airport?

You can pay for Disney transfers from the resort to the port, then from port to airport--$35pp each way.

Last summer we stayed at Universal pre-cruise, and took Happy Limo to the port. We got there much earlier than if we had taken Disney transportation (like, we had to wait for them to open the terminal).

Our past two cruises we have had a 5pm flight home, so we have rented a car and spent the day at a Disney Springs.

Some options are to get their transfers from the resort to the ship and ship to airport, I think it's $35 each way. Other ways are private car service which I heard is good if you have a large group. What my friend and I did once since we are early birds and wanted to get to the port as early as possible, is we took the Magical Express to the airport and then the cruise transfer from there. It got us to the port around 10:00 as opposed to 1:00ish. I'd do it again rather than sit at the hotel.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm assuming the Disney transfer is for Disney cruises? Unfortunately it's not a Disney cruise.

Can you take the Magical Express back to the airport if you don't have a reserved flight out?

Yes. You still need to arrange it ahead of time though.

We used Tony Hinds for our transportation from WDW to PC and then to Daytona Airport post cruise. Here's the email we used for him... aobh607 (at) gmail.com. He was great!

Ah yes, Disney transports are for Disney cruises. I highly recommend Happy Limo for you, then.
