WDW Theme Park Opening Hours

Before, the tragic events of 9/11, I would always get to the theme parks forty-five minutes or so before they opened. Many times, they opened quite a bit before there stated opening times. Now with the reduced staffing, I assume that they open pretty much on there stated opening times. Is this true? Does Epcot open space ship earth a half hour before stated opening of 10:00 A. M. ? Does it do any good to get to the major theme parks much before the stated opening times? Also, how has attendance been most recently, we are going down on 12/3?
