WDW Stuff for less!

Well , it might sounds weird, but I was watching a show last month for the Happy Celebration opening in the Spanish channel, the 're doing a special about Disney, and all the magic you way etc, etc.
And they talked about a thrift store w lots of WDW stuff, very cheap, like a Goodwill, from ponchos, fan bottles, hats, and all kids of souvenirs.

They also showed all the lost and fund items from the parks and they do auctions to the public so I was just wondering about it.

and it appears that the lost and found items are just for cast members to buy. I would love to know if this is true or if the sale is open to the public. Apparantly this sale is held at Disney University. Anyone know for sure?

I am an ex-CM, and I'm not aware of these sales ever being open to the public.....friends and family can go if they are accompanied by a CM....

Sounds like Property Control. Ooh, I loved to go there! LOL I spent lots of money but found such great buys!! My best find is my 25th Anniversary Sweatshirt. It is the one that is embroidered with all the characters (Genie included).

It was a very popular sweatshirt for about $50-$60. I was working at the World Of Disney and had actually damaged it out because of what I thought was an ink stain. A few days later, I go over to Property Control and there it was. I was so excited because I had been wanting to buy one. I think it ended up costing me under $10. Not long after, they ran out of the sweatshirts so I lucked out. Rebecca

OH no!

No Fair! They showed like a goodwill store and lots of people waiting in a huge line to get in.

Maybe the goodwill stores sale WDW stuff also.

Sometimes they hold a sale where all the stuff that didn't sell at property control is sold to the public.

Check out this site. Use the search function, search for "Disney" and it has 2 pages worth of stuff up for auction.

If you can, try and befriend a CM because Property Control is SO worth it. I took my mom and aunt and they did MAJOR damage. Bought over $1000 worth of stuff for about $200.

Also, don't they have some kind of Disney "yard sale" over at Celebration once or twice a year? That might be the one mentioned about the leftover Property Control stuff. I just remember seeing a post not too long ago aoubt it either here or over at the Passporter boards.
