Hi everyone!

I have a trip booked for Orlando - WDW and Universal, due to fly out on the 20th of September this year from the UK. Obviously with the whole coronavirus situation I’m really unsure and need advice on whether to rebook for next year.

There is part of me that wants to just rebook for next year when I know (hopefully) everything will be back to normal but there is also another part of me that is keeping on putting it off as I will be gutted if I rebook for next year and by the time of my trip the restrictions WDW has set for reopening have been loosened 😩. Not getting to see the parade, fireworks or meet characters is quite a big thing for me as I want the full WDW experience as I haven’t been in 8 years.

I’m wondering if anyone else is in the same situation as me and whether you are holding off rebooking until more info comes out or have already rebooked for 2021?

First things first how are you to deal with travel insurance for a trip next year?

My provide is allowing my cover to move to next year if Disney moves the deposit to a new booking, which they will. But my advice is speak t yours, as you cannot get full cover for a new booking now.

From there I’d still hang tight a while as there are no offers for next year.

We haven’t booked with Disney for the trip, we are staying outwith Disney in a Villa.

I sadly didn’t get around to booking any travel insurance as when I went to do it is was going to cost over £200 for a single trip for 2 people but I have looked and I am able to move everything!

I just cancelled my 5th September 14 night stay this week. Disney just changed their policy allowing me to cancel hotel and park deal free now so I took that. We hope to go next year but even that right now is a bit uncertain.
Virgin flights from Glasgow I am leaving till mid August to do something with. I can postpone them and put booking on hold until as late as September 2022. I would prefer to cancel for a full refund so semi hoping come August Virgin may cancel the flights and allow that option.

Sad times , first time in 12 years no Disney hols :(
