Wdw Scrapbooking!

I am just starting scrapbooking & was curious if there's anywhere in WDW that sells themed supplies, etc...thanks in advance!

I believe there is a scrapbook store in DTD, but from what I've heard they're lacking in quality goods. If you have a Michael's or AC Moore near you they have really cute Disney themed items. Also some privately owned stores carry Disney stuff.

I love the scrapbook stuff that is sold in WDW. There is a shop in DTD called "World of Memories" (or something close to that) that sells scrapbooking supplies.

Also, each resort sells supplies in its gift shop & each park sells supplies...just look near the picture frames in the gift shops & you'll see them. World of Disney in DTD has a good selection. Most places have similar stuff.

I like the Disneyworld scrapbooking kits because they are so "Disneyworldish"..if that is a word. There are kits for the 4 parks, thrill rides, etc. There is even a kit specifically for Animal Kingdom sold in that park.

Supplies they sell in shops like Michael's are Disneyish but not DisneyWorldish.

Well, that's how I see it.

BTW...look carefully at any kits you purchase. I recently purchased the "2006 Walt DisneyWorld" scrapbooking kit, or I thought I did. Last week, now that we're home, I looked closely at it & it is a DISNEYLAND scrapbooking kit. The border stickers, paper frames, stickers, all say DISNEYLAND. I called the WDW Merchandise number & the CM was as surprised as I was but the correct one is being sent to me at no charge.
She said the DISNEYLAND one is not supposed to be in WDW!

You might run this by the folks on the Scrapbook board here on the DIS also, good to have it both here on the Community board as well as on the Scrapbook board, more input and ideas.

Disneyshopping.com also has a lot of nice stuff on sale right now i picked DD the rolling tote a few weeks ago.

I just bought some really good Disney papers and accents from Paperwishes.com. They had the best selection I have seen. I was very disappointed in the choices at WDW. Altoughh you might want to check World of Disney in DTD for a cute little box of vintage Disney stickers. I bought those in March while we were there and they are very cute.

Boy, you HAVE to get yourself over to the Scrapbooking board! Those people will help you spend your money!!

Yes, there is a store in DTD for just scrapbooking - over near Rain Forest cafe, and some stuff is sold in each of the parks.

Oooh!!! I just bought out all the Disney themed scrapbooking stuff at the Character Outlet! Sorry!!! LOL!

My sister is a big Creative Memories and scrapbooking person and I got her a TON of stuff for less than half price at the outlet mall. They had a lot of scrapbooking things (both Disney and non-Disney), but I just got her Disney as she is a huge Mickey fan.

Maybe they will put some more out and you can catch some bargains too.
