WDW resorts in 1971...what did they cost?

The Asian Resort was the third Walt Disney World resort which was planned. It was to be located where the current Grand Floridian Resort built. The Venentain and Persian Resorts were the other two resorts which were to be added within five years after WDW opened.

I respectfully disagree. While all three were in concept phase at approximately the same time, they had actually broken ground on the Venetian by 1971 but never started. In fact, for a short period of time the monorail drivers would announce "the future site" during their "mono"logue.

Also: Here's the original WDW map which was published just after it opened in 1971. I have one of these. The "Asian Themed is Resort" is letter A, where the Grand Floridian is now located. The " Venetian Themed Resort" is letter B, the plot of land between the TTC and Contemporary. The "Persian Themed Resort is letter C, at the north end of Bay Lake.

Because i thought I was the luckiest kid in the world when I got to go to Disney World in the 1977, I kept a souvenir. it was my ticket book. The C,D, & E tickets were gone, but I still had some A & B tickets left. I assume the entire day cost between $20 and $25.

I have a check out receipt from the Contemporary Resort in December, 1978: it was $125/night for a 1-Bedroom Suite facing MK (now #4908) on the 14th Floor.
