I have NO idea why I just remembered this after more than a year but......

While at Epcot on 9/12/01 (yes, the day AFTER...) I was holding a table near the Fish & Chips place in England while DH got our food. I saw a mom with 2 young children in tow & another in a stroller looking for a table & looking a little distressed that none were available.

I caught her eye & motioned that she could have our table. She was SO greatful. I then caught up with DH & we found a bench to eat on near the lake. :)

What random acts of kindness have you done?

I didnt strangle the people in front me that let half there native country cut in front of me

I was at the penny press at Splash Mountain and a Japanese man and his son couldn't figure out how to use the machine (they didn't speak english). They had the quarters but couldn't figure out the penny part. They were having a hard time with it so I gave them a shiny new penny to use. They were very pleased and thanked me. The little boy seemed really happy with his new pressed penny :)

Did you have a happy birthday, splashmountain99? I sure hope so :)

That was a nice thing to do :) I always offer to take photographs for others, so that everyone can be in at least on of their vacation photos. It is the easiest thing to do, doesn't take long and they always seem so surprised and pleased when I offer.

Who is next?

Oh yes...I forgot. A couple of women on August 16 gave my mom and I their Peter Pan's Flight Fast Passes because they couldn't use them. They saw us looking at the wait time sign (It was almost 8 and the wait was still 45 minutes) That was so nice of them! If you two read these boards THANK YOU :)

We have given fast passes to people, and last holiday season I invited 2 wonderful UK DISers to eat at Cindy's with us.:)

I like to surprise kids and give them a pin they like off of my lanyard. And I enjoy looking for special pins for special people I know.

These stories are what I like about WDW. Any others?

I let a little girl stand in front of me during a parade & she wound up being picked to go in the street and dance with the princesses! Her mom was in tears because her girl was so happy! :)

To be honest, I did not have any opportunities to perform acts of kindness in WDW last year.
My random acts of kindness are in the form of give a few dollars to a few of the steet people in Chicago. Hope that counts.

I bought Eeyore keyrings, Disney pins and Disney character erasers to hand out to kids during the day.

I get What Would Walt Do pins for CMs.

I give my kids money to play games on the Boardwalk and win the stuffed animals. Then we give the stuffed animals away to little kids who are playing the games, but can't win anything. :) This is the most fun to do because sometimes I get hugs. :)

I wish I could say I did something big but this is all I remember. As we were walking thru MGM, a little boy around 6 or 7 came up to me asking if I wanted to trade pins. He only had about 3 pins on his lanyard and was thrilled when I told him to just pick one of mine and I in turn picked one of his. By now I'm sure he has a lanyard full of pins but at the time I think he was just starting out so I am glad he was so excited:D

A few I can think of that I usually do are:
Gave out pennies while on line for TOT to the kids who wanted to do floaters.
Always offer to take pictures.
I give up seats on busses a lot.
Bring extra candy to hand out to the kids around us while waiting for Fantasmic.

Yer talking my game here....OH sure....thar's plenty of things yer can dew.... Here's a few Ideas that I've dun....

-buy the people behind you in line thar ice creams

-talk with your server...and pay for someone else dinner

-look for some disabled guests..and the merchandise thar wear'in..and approach them with a pin or other item that "fits" their love and give 'em a gift of your pin etc.

-buy a bag of disney candy...and give it to a CM man'in the exit stiles to be pasted out as guests leave the park.

-just say HI or give a smile to sumone...that look down..Acts of Kindness need NOT be financially meaningful,,,,, an act of KINDNESS...begins with each of us..act'in in a way that we'd like to be treated with! :) .... Just be nice...care about others...and finding ways to be nice towards others...will become easy to you!!! :):):)

Just little things... give up my seat on the bus to someone who is more weary than I. Taken pictures for folks. Let little ones stand in front of us for parades so they can see. Given away lots of fast passes (always a big hit!). ;)

I've done many things over the years for people while at WDW.
The 2 that stand out are we paid for a families meal on our way out of the restaruant (they had a lot of kids and the parents were sharing a meal).
We were staying at Fort Wilderness for 2 weeks and there was another family there with a lot of kids .We gave our passes to them, otherwise they wouldn't have been able to go to the parks as many days as they had wanted to. We had 3 days left on each of 5 passes, so we gave them to them.
Lots of other things too, like big tips for great service etc.

Those things were fun to do, but the one AOK that my DH did was the one that touched my heart the most.

We were on the tram and a young boy sitting opposite from us was all gooey and sticky from his Mickey Bar and didn't like the feeling on his hands (he wasn't happy at all). So DH told him to hold his hands out as he poured his bottled water over his hands and had him rub them together. That little one was so grateful, his expression was so cute! He just stared at DH the rest of the way. The parents smiled with joy that he stopped whining!

Joanne....Happy Birthday:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I didn't know it was your Birthday...hope you had a good one!!
