Which guide book do you buy to find out more information on places to eat
at the WDW Parks. ?
Any guide book you find better than others ?

Has anyone used Birnbaum's ?

We are considering Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Dining Guide 2006 (Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Dining Guide)" Birnbaum Travel Guides; Paperback; $9.56

from www.amazon.com

with the purchase of "Star Wars, Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (Full Screen Edition)" George Lucas; DVD; $15.98 - for my DS

we get free shipping for orders over $25 - the above goes for $25.54 :cool1:

I usually eat my guidebook on a bench on Main street.
:teeth:
Sorry but I couldnt resist. In my opinion though, all the guidebooks give you a lot of the same info-the type of food, price range and the guidebook opinion. If you really want a book though Frommers has some good dining info. I have found that the internet and these boards are the best ways to find out about restaurants at WDW and get more info.
:)

I like to eat my guidebooks on the steps of Town Hall. They're best with a little butter, lightly toasted. Corn is the traditional side dish.

Oh. Wait, I see. ;)

I am a huge fan of allearsnet.com for restaurant info. While a guidebook will tell you that a place has "seafood", the menus there let you drool over the details of the possibilities. I'm also a fan of the "food porn" thread (aka the Disney Food photo thread)- some things that I've always overlooked on the menus are VERY attention-grabbing in photo form!

If you just want a guidebook to add to bump you up into super saver shipping, I vote Passporter!

While the guidebooks serve as a fine "appetizer" to get you interested in the main course, most of the info you'll really need is found on this board, and on the menu site.
Birnbaum is fine--I find myself buying one each year, even tho trip # 29 is coming up!!g

I purchased both the Unofficial Guide and the Birnbaum's guide and overall found the Unoffiicial Guide helpful in selecting restaraunts for food as well as atmosphere.

I love the Birnbaum's guides so I bought both Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Guide and Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Dining Guide. I was disappointed that the dining guide said almost word for word what the WDW guide said about each restaurant. There was really no new info and no pictures either.
I would just go for the Birnbaum's WDW guide because it has info on everything else Disney as well as dining and you get the great pictures too!
