I've been to Disneyland SOOOO many times, but in 2017, DH, our two kids and I are planning to go to Disneylworld for the first time. We don't want to take our kids out of school, so the only logical time for us would be over summer or Christmas. But I've heard parks get to capacity during that time. If we're there for at least two weeks, is it likely the capacity problem would be an issue every day we're there? I'm thinking the Magic Kingdom will be our main park, but we do plan on visiting several others.

2. is it likely the capacity problem would be an issue every day we're there?

1. Yup. But, that happens in "stages."
2. Nope.
It will NOT happen every day. It may only happen on 1-3 days, and only at 1-2 parks (MK being the main focus.)
3. I'd hope so. Two weeks primarily in the MK might be a bit "too much magic!" ;)

It shouldn't be a big issue As long as you don't mind the heavy crowds. normally they don't close all day. As people get tired and filter out the parks reopen to guests.

Pretty sure it's mainly in the 11-4 range where the clousers happen. Except for New Year's Eve. You might see some evening issues then.

Thank you for your responses. More than likely we will be going during the summer, but going during Christmas time isn't out of the question yet.

I love Disneyland SO much - it's my very favorite, but the Magic Kingdom sure is gorgeous at Christmastime. Cinderella Castle is a sight like no other with those gorgeous lights!! You guys would likely have the time of your lives at Walt Disney World if you came during the holidays. It's SO gorgeous and all four of the Theme Parks are decked out in their Holiday best. The larger-than-life Christmas trees at the entrance of each Park is just the beginning.

Yes, it's incredibly busy, but it's well worth dodging some crowds during the holidays than dodging crazy crowds in the heat of the summer. There is no humidity at Disneyland even though it's hot, but here in Florida? The heat combined with that lovely Florida humidity and the summer crowds is not any better than dealing with big crowds at Christmas...you just have to set reasonable expectations and know that it will be busy going in. The only time I've ever seen the Parks closing due to high crowds was actually on Christmas and New Year's days.

Of course, this is just my opinion. :) We used to visit Disneyland quite often when we lived in Seattle and we spent the week of Christmas at the Grand Floridian back in 2014; nothing more magical!!
