DH let me sleep in a little, as I think all of our eating and experimenting finally caught up to me, and my stomach was just a little upset the previous night.
We had planned on eating breakfast at 1900 Park Faire, but by the time we got packed, and checked out, it was too late. So we decided to go to DTD.
We ate at Planet Hollywood around 11:30. Anyone who says that their burgers are expensive is correct, but I can tell you that I had the combination Fajitas, which were more than enough for 2---about the size of Chilis' Fajitas for 2 for less than those at Chili's and they were just as tasty, if not more! My husband had the pasta Pompadora, which was also terrific. We had a wonderful server, as well!
After eating, we walked down to the Marketplace to finish up shopping and sightseeing. I just love the stores there!
We stopped in Captain Jack's and had the Conch Chowder, and DH had the New England Clam Chowder. I had to have the frozen Strawberry Margarita... it is a must have for me at DTD! It was just as tasty as usual!
Well, time had come to say goodbye to WDW for at least another 6 months
I have already started planning the next trip, and we will take DD with us then. This trip was great...we did all of the adult things, but I missed seeing Disney through her eyes, too!
On the way to the airport, we decided to go check out Disney's Town of Celebration. The houses our quite beautiful and HUGE!!! The little downtown area is quaint, and would remind you of a town in the 1950's. They had some really nice looking little restaurants and bistros. As I am a nurse, we had to go to see the Florida Hospital, Celebration Health. What a gorgeous hospital!! The inside is like a hotel, and best of all...NO HOSPITAL SMELL!!!! It was truly amazing!
Everything went smoothly at the airport, until they scanned my carry on luggage. I had bought a little Pooh clock at DTD for my DD, and had put it in my carryon for safe keeping on the flight. They did everything but dismantle it to make sure there was no bomb or whatever inside. I am glad that they are thorough, but I am also glad that we got to the airport well ahead of our scheduled flight.
The flight was good, and because of 90 mile an hour tailwinds, we arrived back in Norfolk 15 minutes early, to the slush and snow of the previous week.
And so ends this saga of the trip to WDW!
