My sister in law purchase WDW tickets through My Disney Experience. The tickets are linked and she has park pass reservations. She doesn't have magic bands or ticket card. How does she actually use the tickets at Park entry? I have old Disney ticket cards that don't have tickets on them anymore, can we load her current tickets to those? I originally told her to go to Disney Springs guest services when she arrives but she may not have time. Any help is appreciated!

She can show MDE at the tapstiles when they go to the first park. Hard plastic tickets will be issued then. Alternatively, she can purchase Magic Bands, but that isn't necessary.

great, so will the CM at the actual tapstile issue the plastic cards or will she have to go to guest services? Im just trying to prepare her as she has not been in 10 years. They are not staying on property.

They'll issue it at the tapstile. She can go to Guest Relations or a ticket window, but that isn't necessary.

Thank you for the help. She is very excited but nervous to have things go smoothly with the expected crowds. This info will help!

I was having the same problem!
when are you going? Now that MagicMobile has launched I think that will change the process again, If you activate it in your My Disney Experience App you should be able to scan in with just your phone. We will see I guess. My sis in law will be there this weekend.

Just to be clear...
MagicMobile has been "announced" as "beginning later this year."
It is not yet in operation at WDW.

More info HERE.

When we went in December we just stopped at a ticket window at the TTC and gave the confirmation number that was emailed to us when we purchased the tickets and the wonderful cm got us our hard tickets (cards).

Yes, you're right, I should have been more clear. However I was able to use mine yesterday and I've had two friends report that it is active for them in the parks today!

Can we use old magic bands still?

Yes, you definitely CAN use older MBs.

I think so, as long as the battery is still good.
The battery does NOT have to be good.
(A MB internal battery can last up to 2-4 years.)

But, a MB, even with a fully dead internal battery, can still fully work for any and all WDW functions that use a "tap" to operate (which is to say nearly all functions.)
That would include park entry, room door opening, FP readers [when available,] charge-to-room, and certain other functions.
