Wdw Needs Another Moderate Resort!

:flower: I think Disney needs to put trundles in CBR so familys of 5 can stay there. The rooms ARE bigger there, so put an extra bed in and then the whole "fire code" issue won't exsist. :flower:

Unless I'm mistaken, the buildings at Pop have already been built as far as the block goes. Once that's done you can't really change the floorplan.

According to Tyler only 2 buildings have been partially completed. We don't know if they'll ever get finished. Your food court analysis may very well hold water. I just think if they ever complete it they should consider doing something different with some of the rooms. Two bunk beds and one full size bed. Your idea of 100sq ft and a sofa bed or my idea of adding a mini-kitchen and a sofa bed.

It's probably a lot harder, if not impossible, than it sounds but I was even wondering if there would be a way to take an existing value resort and split a room between the adjoining roms. Starting from scratch with the POP makes a lot more sense.

Any increase in the price of a moderate room will get you to close to the price of a discounted, or rented points stay in a DVC resort, although a family of 5 or 6 also has problems. Pricing a value suite at a 50-75% increase in price, similar to the cost of a moderate room, might be a price point that might interest guests.

I'm not a value resort person. For the price of an undiscounted value, short booking time, I can get a resort off-site through PL. I'd much rather spend $100 to stay at the Gaylord Palms than in the All Stars.
