Why not? Have a nice spacious, air conditioned planetarium, just like you find at a museum. Have Hercules and friends narrarate it and show all the mythological characters/creatures found among the stars, constellations, etc. Educational and entertaining! Just my two cents.:rolleyes1

That is a great idea. What park do you think it should be in?

I love this idea! Tear down the old Body Wars Pavillion (name escapes me) and build this. :cool1:

I agree!! They have to have Danny Devito be part of the narration.

Agreed a great Idea for Epcot. It doesnt need to be limited to Hercules. It could include all of the disney movies that have some sort of starts mentioned. Ex) the lion king

It would have to have some major pluses or people won't go due to it being too "educational".

I agree, we took our kids to a local planetarium and it was DULLLLLL... That said, a large, air conditioned room, dark, with sparkly stars? Sounds like a nice respite during the hot months :rotfl:

By respite I'm assuming you mean nap. :thumbsup2 Because if I hit this ride at around 2:00 PM I would be out in 2 minutes.

Wouldn't this be a great retheme to Stitch's current attraction. It could have Lilo and Stitch characters still, Lion King aspects and Hercules aspects! I don't know how the story could work to use the current seat technology, but that room already reminded me of a planetarium. The show would have to be short though since that room doesn't seem to have a very large capacity.

Or a 3-D planetarium! Images would look almost like holograms floating in the middle of a round, curved ceiling. The could have touchscreens in line (or after the attraction) for an interactive queue aspect where you could "make your own constellation!" or "connect the dots and learn about a constellation."

I agree that a planetarium would be an incredible addition to Epcot. The above ideas are great, and I think the Imagineers could really do something fantastic.

Yeah, I just thought it was something the parks haven't touched on yet, but would fill a big theater and be a nice indoor, air conditioned attraction. Great idea to add other films like Lion King, too. Could see this in AK or Epcot...

I was watching a fireworks show and at the end they showed the future of fireworks. Not the actual future but a possible future.

A team was doing "virtual" fireworks by projecting lasers and where the lasers intersected you saw a spot of light just floating in the air. With this tech you would get true 3d constellations moving around in space with no glasses.

Now that would be neat, whats the number for imagineering?

Planetarium/indoor 3D fireworks show would be awesome, great ideas! Who knows an Imagineer?

Awesome idea, I love it... :lovestruc

:thumbsup2Love the idea!
Too boring? Hello, Universe of Energy?

I'm all for it at Epcot, simply because people can wait in line and take the pressure off Test Track and Soarin so while people do this, I can do the fun rides. WIN! :)

Right? Quick! Tell your cousin's neighbor's friend's niece's teacher's son/daughter who is an Imagineer/Disney Bus Driver that we have a great idea! :rotfl:

I like this idea. It could have an animatronic host of some sort. The aliens from Toy Story could be in it, too. It could encompass astronomy, mythology and physics. The lasers and 3D effects could make it really exciting when they add in the Disney magic and special effects with some characters. Someone needs to submit this idea.
