This is interesting dining news from the WDW Blog. Can't wait to see how it works:

For those of you who cheered when we launched our new online dining reservation system for Walt Disney World Restaurants – more great news to share today. You can now check for table-service availability at nearby restaurants using the location-based services on your supported Android, Blackberry or iPhone device. And yes, it’s available now. Simply search “disneyworld.com/dining” from your supported browser, or visit http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/reservations/dining/m/ and choose to view “map view” of dining results.

Does anyone else find it interesting that the screen shots WDW used (in the blog post) were from an iPhone - not a Verizon product?

Well even though I have a BlackBerry Tour if I were to access their dining website I am charged huge roaming fees while in the United States, so this is one thing I won't be doing.

I actually tried this a few times in the past 3-4 days and it works pretty much as advertised. :thumbsup2

It's not a Verizon exclusive - but perhaps they are giving a view of the future...
I'm sure it will happen at some point, but the rumors have been false for so long that I take an "I'll believe when I see it" approach.

It couldn't happen soon enough for me. I get closer to dumping my iPhone on an almost daily basis. Constantly drops my calls. Almost never have internet access at home.

Not a fan of AT&T.

And I know there are people whose iPhones always work. I don't care. Their phones working does me no good. Mine doesn't.

Do you have wireless at home? If so, you should have no issues using it on your iPhone.

I do, but it doesn't cover the whole house and doesn't cover the acres of land. It also doesn't cover driving around the immediate area. The internet cuts out a lot, too. We live in the middle of nowhere. So, while I "should" have no troubles - or "issues" - using it, I do.

Believe it or not, there are places where the iPhones don't work. And there are people who have a great deal of trouble with them.

In fact, I believe that when the day comes that you can use an iPhone on the Verizon network, there will be a mass exodus of people leaving AT&T.

I know that you are one of the people for whom the thing works. That's great for you, but does me and others like me no good at all.

Very well said! I live in a fairly rural area (not all of Iowa is that way, by the way). But, MOST of my "3G" coverage with AT&T is not 3G. When it is not 3G it is slow, hardly usable. Then I get to a city that offers 3G coverage, and it is amazing. That does nothing for me most of the time.
