WDW Marathons

I COULD search the Dis site but, I know there are several of you here that can answer my question! Is there a group anywhere on "the dis" where they discuss the marathons? I've just decided to make January 2012 my goal to be my first 1/2 marathon and thought it would be fun to find out more about it!

I'm not sure if they'll have any info about 2012 yet but there are certainly threads about the Marathon Weekend and lots of other races as well. Good luck!!

Thanks for the responses! I'm not planning to actually participate until 2012, but, I have a long way to go to get there, so, I thought it might be fun to read about what other people are doing and experiencing. I am a long time couch potato who finally found exercise about 2 years ago. I have lost about 50 pounds and find myself ENJOYING working out!

I love Disney and apparently will find any excuse to visit rolleyes1), so, this is my latest ploy!

My husband did the same thing. He ran 2 minis at DisneyWorld and is training for the FULL marathon in 2011!! Using a trip to Disney as your motivation to work out is pretty darn successful!
