WDW Marathon Pins

does anyone know approximately when they release the WDW marathon and half marathon pins? I received my race packet yesterday which had an insert to buy marathon merchandise and was expecting to see pins (silly me...) I am just curious as to when they release the marathon pins since I will REALLY want one of these pins (as I am running) and wont be arriving in Florida till Dec. 30 and dont want to miss getting one.
By the way---For all you DIS fans who will be marathon spectators---my race number is #18087 (if I remember correctly) which I found odd since there are only 18,000 runners.....

The only limited edition pins were the framed pin set. I think it was released about two days before the race, and initially only available at one or two locations. But the framed set didn't sell out for a long time. . . maybe weeks, and was eventually available in several other locations around the parks.

The marathon and half-marathon rack pins continued to be available even longer. I know we bought some at DTD on our March trip (5th thru the 9th). I believe they had been reduced to about $3.99.

Last January -- we first saw the '01 marathon LE boxed set from a guest who was selling them above cost. But my understanding was that they were first sold at World of Sports.
A few days later, we saw the LE boxed set in the park (Epcot?) and bought one.
The half marathon and full marathon slider pins were in the CSR gift shop and at various places through out WDW when we arrived. They were plentiful.
DH tried ordering marathon clothes, mugs, etc around a year ago, before our January arrival. The order was continually botched. He finally was shipped a (free) polo shirt right before we left in January. Then we bought the other items he wanted at WDW.

Barb reminded about this too . . .

We purchased a long-sleeved half-marathon polo shirt at the Disney outlet at Belz Outlet Center on our trip around Memorial Day (end of May). I am sure that they had some full marathon versions too. Also, at the same time, they had some other clothing item, but I just can't recall exactly what it was . . . I'm thinking it might have been a sweatshirt or a jacket.
