WDW Little Mermaid Merchandise ?s

DD, 2.5, LOVES The Little Mermaid. Although we don't buy many souvenirs for her at WDW, this year Grammy will be along and Grammy will buy her only grandchild just about anything at WDW she wants, I'm sure of it Anyway, is there still a gift shop somewhere by the Little Mermaid show at the Studios that had LM stuff? I'm thinking this would be a good place to let Grammy go wild or to let us tell her she can pick out one thing that we would buy her. Also, are there any Ursula items? I know there used to be a villains shop at the Studios, does that exist? DD loves Ursula as much as Ariel so I'd love to find her something that has just Ursula on it or is just Ursula.

Last summer when we went DD was really into Minnie Mouse so I concentrated on all the Minnie items and only finding Minnie to meet. Now we've graduated into princesses and I guess I have to be princess-centric this time! And I love it! WDW through my daughter's eyes has been one magical ride!

There is some LM merchandise next to the show entrance at DHS but its pretty standard stuff, nothing groundbreaking. I recall seeing a plush Ursella somewhere, but I can't tell you where. The Villians in Vogue shop is still there but you may as well call it the Johnny Depp/ Tim Burton shop, its was almost all Mad Hatter, Captn Jack and Jack skellington stuff in May with some Vinylmation thrown in. It is a sad shell of what it used to be as the same merchandise is everywhere else nowadays. If I were you I would send Grammy to World of Disney at DTD, they have just about everything in the parks there all in one store.

Unless they have gotten new merchandise, you won't be able to find an ursula doll or anything specific Ursula. DD wanted a doll so she could play out the story, and we looked everywhere for a plush or other type Ursula. The only one we found was the playset with the little figures which was the same one they sell at our Disney Store at home. I was really surprised at how little villian merchandise the "villian" store actually has nowadays. The shop next to the Little Mermaid show is pretty much an all princess shop. You will find Little Mermaid stuff there, but all the other princesses are represented too and have about as much merchanside there as Ariel does. It is a pretty small store. If you are going this year, Toontown will probably still be open. The tent where the princesses and fairies meet and greet has a very large store with all kinds of princess stuff. I remember Ariel being pretty well represented there even though she doesn't ever meet and greet in the tent.

I wondered if World of Mouse would be our best option. I know they have a huge princess section there as I meandered through it last year. Thanks, though!

We were there last August and I was really hoping to find something cool or unique with Ariel for my 4 year old niece I was hoping for a jacket or something that would really WOW her. I found plastic crap toys I can buy in Walmart, T shirts I could buy at the Disney Store and not much else that was all that different. At the toy store in DTD I found a jewelry box and a necklace that were cute. The jewelry box had Ariel spinning instead of a ballerina when you opened it. She loves it but really there wasn't much to choose from
