Hi there... I was curious as to where the WDW Entrance Sign is located. We are staying off property our first night and were wondering if we'll be past the magical sign or outside of it. The reason is we are going to surprise our son and I'm just curious if we'll pass the entrance sign or not. I can't recall from our last trip.

Thanks!!

From memory, there are 3 main entrances that all have the large arches over the highway that say Walt Disney World. There are also signs, no stopping is allowed. There may be 4 but I can only picture the entrance off of 429, World Drive and the Epcot loop (sorry, can't remember the road, might be Osceola Parkway?). When you leave the same arches have Mickey telling you, See you real soon.

You can't mistake being on property, the road signs are the colors of a crayon box. Love it, Kathy

Perfect, thanks. We can save our surprise for the next morning. I wasn't sure since we are staying our first night right near DTD.

If you're staying at one of the hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd, depending on which way you get there, you may very well pass one of the signs.

There is a "Welcome to Disney" sign at the corner of Apopka-Vineland Rd (S.R. 535) and Hotel Plaza Blvd.

It is possible to drive past the sign and come in through Buena Vista Drive, but if you're coming off I-4, you still may SEE the sign, and going that way, you'd also have to pass Downtown Disney to get to Hotel Plaza Blvd.
