I posted these journals on the community board and was asked to put them here to so you all could read them. :)

This trip was from May 24th through June 4th. I came to visit my CM friend Chris who got me in the parks and got me half off the resort price. hehe. He took vacation days from work to be with me. I did the college program at WDW last year. I'm 20 and Chris is 23.

Here's my trip report from WDW! I guess journal isn't quite the right word for this one. Unlike in the past, I didn't actually keep an on-going journal while I was down there, so this will be a little different, more highlights and not quite so specific or step by step.

Anyway, here we go....

It all started on May 24th- a Friday, and for the first time in ages, I had a direct flight- yahoo! No having to waste time making a connecting flight. I played a little bit of musical chairs in the airplane- there was a family whose seats were split up so I offered to switch so they could sit together.

I was picked up at the airport by my friend Bruce Metcalf, train engineer CM at MK and Disney trivia expert extraoridinare. He brought me to the hotel and waited while I checked in. Chris (Euphoria on the DIS) had gotten me the room, only I didn't realize that CMs can only get 7 nights at a time so he had 2 separate reservations for me at All Star Music. I nearly panicked when the front desk CM said I was booked through May 31st when my plane didn't leave until the 4th! Everything was fine though. Chris had even made sure my room was in the Broadway section which is themed to Beauty and the Beast.

I still had 2 comp tickets for the parks left over from when I was on the college program, but I didn't want to use one for only a few hours at a park, so Bruce offered to get me in MGM on his main gate pass and left afterwards. It was such a wonderful feeling to be back! To my surprise, the parade was starting as I arrived, leaving me to wonder since when did the 3:00 parade start at 5:30. I decided to wait until I was with Chris to watch it. I ended up doing nothing but exploring shops to see what was new. (like awesome AG doll sized dresses! but they were too much) Being by myself got really lonely after a little while. I did go into the One Man's Dream exhibit, but as I was nearing the end, it suddenly hit me that I had told Mom that I'd call her as soon as I was in my room at the resort. Whoops! Luckily there was a pay phone right outside the attraction, so I called home to let her know I had arrived safely.

The next day was my first full day in Florida. Dan Murphy met me right outside the resort and drove me to the Busch Gardens meet in Tampa where we spent the whole day. We chatted about various things all the way there. I spoke to Princess Michelle briefly on Dan's cell phone before we met up with her at the tram stop. The meet consisted of Dan and a buncha ladies. lol. There was me, Princess Michelle, Mickeysunshine, Leelah (sorry if I misspelled that), CrissyPooh, and her adorable little girl Julie. To my dismay, I discovered I was hanging out with a buncha chickens- Leelah was the only one who'd go on the coasters with me! lol. We got to about 3 of them. We did a buncha other stuff too- lots of animal trails, a dolphin show, tidalwave, and a really neat show called World Rythms on Ice. It had ice skaters dancing to music from different lands. At one point, a buncha streamers came down on us. Julie gave me a long orange one which I put in my hair. It was a fun day, and I'll definately have to make a day trip there once I move to Orlando. While we were there, Dan called another DIS meet happening at the same time in Ceder Point so I got to talk to about 3 DISers on the phone. Very cool! (except I'm really shy on the phone. hehe)

My friend Jillian from the college program who is a seasonal CM arranged to come back to WDW for a few days so we could see each other again. She had told me to call her around 9pm that evening. After trying for a long time, I finally got a hold of her. Her work day had been extended and her cellphone needed recharging. She asked me if I minded if she take a shower in my hotel room because she was going to sleep in her car that night because she couldn't afford a place to stay. (she lives about 2 hrs from WDW). I told her she was nuts, and that she could spend the night in the room because I had an extra bed! So that night, Jillian stayed over and we chatted and reminised about the college program. She had brought along her scrapbook which had pics of us that I had forgotten we even took.

I'll break this up to make it easier to read.

isn't it great to be in Disney again.....i am anxious to go back too......thanks again

It sounds like you had a wonderful start to your trip. I cannot believe how many DISers you met!
