My first trip report
My mom made a trip report after we got back and I thought it was a neat idea to make one from the view of a 15 year old.
This trip was interesting, I learned Disney World isn’t just for little kids and it’s a lot of fun for any age. I also learned sweaters and pants are NOT a good thing to wear in that kind of weather.

The Cast:

me [15](johjoh)
I love listening to music (no rap though!). I love riding horses and cant wait to get my own. I love going in my kayak with my kitty Oreo. I also like to hang around with my dog sterling. I like going to punk shows and dances with my friends. And talking on msn is given.
Sister [13](goofy)
-My sister is a brat who annoys the heck out of me.

Dad (grumpy)

Mom (Minnie)

Well, first let me tell you that I didn’t want to go to Disney World at all. I wanted to go back to P.E.I. more than anything. I loved the water and how we could relax all day on the beach. When I got the courage to go swimming in the ocean on the last day I thought it was awesome and couldn’t wait to go back. When Minnie told me that we were going to Disney World instead of P.E.I. again I didn’t know what to think. I was very mad, all I wanted to do was go swimming in the ocean like last year. But this time we were going to Disney World. How am I supposed to swim in the ocean if I’m at WDW?
All Minnie and Grumpy wanted me to do was look at this DVD all about WDW (I thought it was ridiculous by the way)
one day we all sat down to watch a DVD my mom made about WDW.

When it came time to pack I packed all my pants and sweaters and some of my t’s. “JohJoh you cant pack that!”
Minnie kept telling me. But it’s all I wear? What else would I bring? Skirts?
Yes, I packed all my skirts and 5 t’s. I then filled my suitcase with all my accessories. Time to take it to mom to be checked out.
Well I didn’t pass. Too much stuff, and we leave tomorrow, what am I going to do? Not that big of a deal because the day we were leaving Minnie and Grumpy checked my suitcase again but before Goofy took it out to the truck I snuck a few of my things in it.

Now for my trip.
Saturday.August.26/2006

We all woke up at 5 am we were ready to leave by 5:30am. We arrived at my Nanas and Poppy’s at six to find a nice breakfast on the table. I was too nervous to think about food, I only took 2 bites from a muffin and thought that’s enough just in case I get sick. After we finished eating they gave us a wallet with some US money in it. We then grabbed our stuff and they drove us to the airport. When we got out of the car my Nana HAD to take a picture of us with our luggage (she takes FOREVER to take pictures). I was very scared when we first got there, I thought I was going to faint but as we walked to the thing you put you bags on, I was alright. Turns out Minnie lied to us about how big our carry on bags could be. I only brought half my stuff because of her. We went over to the metal detector; I wearing my metal stud belt asked if I should take it off “no. It should be fine, go ahead through” says the lady taking our bags from us. Well the idiot was wrong. It started beeping when I walked through. I simply told the girl with the big stick trying to search me that it was just my belt and the other girl said it was okay to wear through. She just made me take it off and walk back through. The second time I was nervous but it was fine I DIDN’T BEEP! When we got downstairs (2 hours early) I tried to turn on the mp3 player I borrowed from my friend. It wouldn’t work. I freaked out because it wasn’t mine and also because I’d die with out my music. It’s also good for blocking out Goofy. The airport was really nice; comfy chairs, food, drinks and a gift shop.
:surfweb: Part 2 coming up. :surfweb:

Hey...we're cross tripping! Good start sweety...can't wait to read more and add it to our scrapbook. :cheer2:

:thumbsup2 Looking forward to your TR from a teen's point of view, as I'm taking 3 teens to WDW for the first time in 29 days! :Pinkbounc

Day 1 Part 2

When it was time to board I got out my 3 packs of gum out my nana packed because everyone said the popping of your ears is insane. We sat in our seats and waited for the rest of the passengers to board. When everyone was on my mom showed me the barf bag, just incase. The stewardess went on telling us safety tips. Then they showed us masks. Well did I ever start asking questions about that quick. Turns out its just for emergencies. The only thing I worried about was my ears popping and getting bombed (which we weren’t allowed to talk about). The plane lifted off the ground. (Goodbye Canada I thought to myself). I was so scared it wasn’t at all funny. But once we got up straight I was fine. Chewed my gum like you don’t even know. But my ears only popped once and it didn’t hurt much at all. People so over exaggerate! But when you hit clouds hang on for dear life. I have never been so terrified in my life. It only lasted one minute though and my barf bag didn’t get used. It seemed about 10 minutes later that we landed in Orlando Florida. Oh My Gosh, was it hot. We got out of the plane; found our way around to go out side for a minute. All I did was sit down in my sweater and jeans and I was dead from the heat. NOTE TO SELF AND OTHERS - sweaters and jeans are NOT a good thing to wear to Disney world. After we stood in line for the bus to the hotel Minnie insisted on getting a picture of the guy with the big white Mickey hand. So I took one of them together. On the bus they played a movie describing everything you need to know about Disney world except that it’s like really hot there. But yeah right who the heck watches the movie when it’s your fist time in Florida, when there is neat trees all around to look at? Not me lol.
We arrived at the hotel 30 minutes later. We checked in at the front desk. It was the coolest thing ever inside! All the workers were so nice! But I thought we would just go up stairs to our room. Instead we had to walk by our huge pool (outside) then to our area and then, up the elevator to the 3rd floor.

-Part 3 coming up-

My sweet DD: I knew how frightened you were on the plane - you handled the situation with grace. I'm proud of you.

Proud of you for taking the time to write this. I know it takes up a lot of your time and being sick today and all :sad2:

Of course I wanted my pic taken with the guy with the big Mickey hand - the rest of you wouldn't have done it! Someone has to take charge and make lasting memories :goodvibes

Hope you're feeling better tomorrow hun.

Here you are. I was looking for your report and couldn't find it. Your mom told me you were gonna write one and immediatley I was on the prowl.

I'm also working on my trip in a 12 year old's point of view. I like yours though. Too.

Mine's called 'The Tink Travellers Attempt and succeed to get to disney'

You can read it if you want.

Great Start!

-Shannon

hey cute trip report! I read yours moms and decided to subscribe to yours to see how you felt about it. Im 18 and going to WDW with my boyfriend for the first time in February. I was interested to see what you thought about it! Great job so far! :thumbsup2

I didn't get to Disney World until I was a teen as well, but I had a blast (and back when I went, there was no Tower of Terror or Rockin Rollercoaster.....)
It started my Disney Addiction.

I am hoping my DD enjoys going to DisneyWorld even when she is older.

Your report is very fun to read...thanks again for posting!!!

ok, now you have me hooked.. It has been a month.. please come back and finish :cool1:
