WDW gets Main St. Electrical Parade for up to 2 years!

Per Al Lutz and the Miceage website, WDW is keeping MSEP well past this summer and up to two years, so those who can't make it this summer, have faith!

It really does make sense to keep the MSEP at WDW for more than just a few months. First of all, the logistics of transporting it and second, the financial end of it. We're heading down in a few weeks but would LOVE to see the MSEP again. Not sure if we can swing another trip before the end of the summer, so news that the MSEP may have a longer run is great news to me!!!

How exciting!! I hope it stays! I have a toooon of pictures from my little Mickey Mouse camera of MSEP when I was a kid at DL. We won't make it until December, and it would be great to see it.

We are heading down in June have made several trips to WDW and have always seen Spectro Magic. I as well as my DW and kids are looking forwrd to seeing MSEP

I think it would be really cool if they kept doing this - rotated the two parades every couple of years. And the fireworks too! I love any fireworks display, so the more different ones I can see, the happier I am.

This might be away to draw people into the park who may be a little hesitant about booking a trip due to construction.

update: I forgot I have it on VHS. Does anyone know if they sell it on DVD???

That's great news. I have very fond memories of King Richard from Robin Hood swinging around wildly in a fancy coach at DL. My mom who's going to be on our next trip will be thrilled. It's her favorite Disney thing.

We saw this in California in 2008. It was there during our honeymoon in 2000. I am thrilled. I have seen Spectramagic as well, I just like MSEP better.

So excited about this. We were just there this past month and made sure to catch Spectro. We are hoping to get down in the fall for the Food and Wine Festival and MNSSHP and would love to see this parade. I have photos from long ago when I saw it and did not even realize it until I started looking over old photos. We love Spectro but a new parade (especially this one) will be great.

Not so sure about the new fireworks. We love Wishes - I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I thought I had read somewhere that the MSEP was being shipped to Florida for storage and refurb. Now to hear it will be put on display in the World will make my DD so very happy. She just love this parade and especially the techno theme song. I can't wait to get home and tell her.

I am so excited! We are heading down May 27th and will be there until June 6. I do hope that we can catch both parades and both fireworks. We have seen spectro and wishes many times but our friends have never been and they are joining us this time. Does anyone know yet exactly when they will begin the Main Stree Electrical Parade?
