I had read that there is a marker that is the center of the WDW properties and it's located in Epcot. Anyone know where it is?

I know there's a marker in the Magic Kingdom, located between the castle and the Carousel that is the center of the park. Never heard about a center of the entire property though.

Go into EPCOT via the main entrance. When you get to the huge fountain, take a right and go throught the covered walkway...towards Soarin'. Just as you come out of that walkway there will be a large circle in the cement..I believe that the center of that circle is the center of WDW......or atleast that is what I was once told and have been telling anyone I take there!

I had no idea that is what that marker is for. I wonder if its true though...and if it is true, I wonder if it still is, with Disney sometimes selling off parcels of their land.

No, thats not the one. There's several generic survey markers around the World.

The one near Innoventions and The Land is large...probably about 10 feet across. Looks like a large compass and I think there are several smaller markers near it with famous scientists/inventors.

Yes, that is the place, with the scientists/inventors. I believe that I first read about this years ago in some Disney info book. I remember going to find it way back then. I know that is the place that it said at that time, but, I also was thinking when I first posted that I wonder if it still is the center.

I have heard this too, its right outside Innoventions. I'm sure if you wait a moment Robo will be along and post a map of it. It's pretty big though, way bigger than 10' in total with all the stuff around it, can't miss it.

According to Anita Answer:

According to Epcot Guest Relations, the original geographic center point of Walt Disney World is just south of the Fountain of Nations in Epcot's Future World. If you look on the ground on the plaza behind the fountain, as you walk toward World Showcase, you'll see the original Epcot logo embedded in the pavement. It consists of five intertwined circles around a globe. The 'globe' marks the original geographic center of the property. The reason I say 'original geographic center' is that since 1982, when Epcot opened, the boundaries of the WDW property have changed several times. The logo isn't the center anymore, although it is probably fairly close.
