i remembered reading that someone did something like this a couple of years ago and we thought that it would be quite a cool way of spending one of our days when we go in september.

The challange is,all four parks going on two main rides and one small one, plus completing one photo challange in each of the parks. you can only use wdw transportation and have to get one photo with a character in each one.

we have 6 kids between 18 and 21 and a couple of the adults who are going to pair up in too teams,to see who can complete it first.

have any of you done any thing like this before and if you did what were your rules....would any one like to give it a go this year? if so let us know how you get on and post some picks.

we will be doing the challange some time between the 29th sept and the 11th oct (just not on the 4th because im getting wed on that day:love:) so if you are there between those dates and you would like to take part let me know.

that sounds like so much fun, tiring though, lol!!
we did 4 parks in 1 day (early pre rope drop ADR at CP, then onto epcot to ride soaring (best of the best)
HS for TOT (again best of the best)
lunch at flame tree BBq (best of the best)
the we did wishes in the evening, arriving late via dinner at WCC.

long day, but hey it was best of the best day:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

My family and I usually do the FPIOD challenge!!! Those are pretty much the rules we follow tho' we tweak 'em every now and again - it's such a hoot!!

We also give bonus points for photos with unusual characters (one year DD and I lucked out with Launchpad from Ducktales and Robin Hood...) When it's competitive, we take photos of each other on the rides to prove we have completed the challenge... ;) If you want to make it extra hard, why not make it so that the first team back to a designated meet point, wins..?

haha i told my DD about this and she is already working out routes and what rides to take...and its not for 8 month's.if she doesn't win she will be gutted.

This sounds like The Unofficial Guide/Touringplans.com sort of thing. Have a look at Len Testa's website as I am sure there will be an article about this :thumbsup2

That sounds like great fun! I will save that until the kids are bigger and then we will do boys v girls! :)

In all my years frequenting Disney forums I've never come across this before, but I LOVE it! :thumbsup2

There are 8 of us going next year , but its a shame my Children will be 2 & 5 when i next go so i think that will be a bit much of a challange to to it with them....:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

It is not Len Testa but Mike Scopa's not for the faint of heart

Required Number of Attractions
It would be pretty simple and easy to do this challenge by just running into a theme park, visiting the least crowded attractions and then move on to the next theme park… but that’s way too easy and boring.

Well…we here at AllEars Challenge Central are not in the boring business so let’s go over the exciting requirements regarding attraction touring for this most interesting challenge.

•Your visit to each park requires that you experience at least three (3) attractions. That’s all. That sounds pretty easy doesn’t it? Of course there is a bit more to it than that.

•Of the three attractions that you experience at least one of those attractions must be a Headliner attraction. A Headliner attraction is an attraction that is recognized as a “staple” for that theme park. It is recognized as one of the more popular attractions in that park. The following bullets describe the attractions eligible for this challenge and I have placed (H) next to those attractions I consider to be Headliner attractions. Remember, you must choose three attractions from those listed for each theme park.

•Magic Kingdom – Space Mountain (H), Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (H), Splash Mountain (H), Haunted Mansion (H), and Pirates of the Caribbean (H). Because of their recent upgrading in the last two years both Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean have been granted Headliner status.

•EPCOT – Spaceship Earth, Soarin’ (H), Test Track (H), Mission:Space (H) and any World Showcase attraction. Keep in mind you cannot use more than one World Showcase attraction for your visit to EPCOT.

•Hollywood Studios – Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (H), Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster (H), The Great Movie Ride (H), Star Tours, and Toy Story Mania (Opening this spring).

•Animal Kingdom – Expedition Everest (H), Dinosaur; Kilimanjaro Safaris (H), It’s Tough to Be a Bug, and Kali River Rapids.

So there you have the list of attractions. You have to experience a total of one dozen attractions in less than a day.

You’ll need energy to accomplish this task and eating is also included in the list of requirements for this challenge.

Read on.

Challenge Chowing
Taking on this challenge requires fuel to get you through quite a long day. Again, as with attractions, you have a choice regarding food. See? I’m easy. You must eat at least two (2) meals during this adventurous day. It’s up to you as to when and where you eat. You may choose a sit-down restaurant or quick-service for any meal. There is a stipulation that you cannot have more than one meal in any one park. No limit on snacks.

The question is what works best for you.

Also, keep in mind that three meals and as many snacks as you require are fine too…as long as you have at least two meals during the day

Non-Goals
If you were wondering about some other requirements for this challenge there aren’t any. You are free to figure out transportation schemes and again, you may do the parks in any order that works for you.

There are no parade or fireworks requirements and no need to take a photo with any character. You do not need to see any shows, nor shop in any store.

You have enough to do.

Sound like fun?

It could be if you plan it right.

So think about how you’d tackle this little assignment.

Next time I’ll tell you my plan and how I arrived at it.

i knew i had seen something like this before...what i like is that you can change things to suit your group. i think this will be such a good day and i cant wait to see the kids faces when us oldies win...nothing like a bit of experience with something like this.;)

You'll have great fun ~ we did all 4 parks in one day last trip. We wanted to say we had visited them all in 2010 as well as 2009 so on New Year's Day (our last full day) we started off at Epcot, took the boat to DHS, then went to AK finally finishing off at MK in the evening.

Have fun!! :wizard: :wizard:

I'm certainly storing this in mind for when we go again with a larger group. It sounds like it could be a lot of fun and, like someone has already said, you could tweak it to suit the group a bit more - especially if some of them don't like a particular ride you could factor that in.
