I'm considering going to WDW for Thanksgiving. How are the crowds and weather? We haven't been to WDW in five years and used to go in September. My son turns 16YO that weekend. I want one more Disney trip with him before he's a man!

TIA.

Crowds are very large.

The weather could be warm or cool. You'll need to check the local forecast right before you leave. Once you get into late November there is no definite weather pattern in Central Florida.

We went Thanksgiving 2005 and it was great! The crowds weren't terrible- not even close to the summer months. We were there Saturday - Saturday. Thursday & Friday were more crowed than earlier in the week, but still ok. We did everything we wanted without a lot of waiting. Fast passes worked well for us on the more popular rides. I would definitely go during Thanksgiving again.

One note from experience- we went to MGM on Thursday and it felt pretty crowded. I believe that was due to MGM being smaller than Epcot & MK. If we go back during Thanksgiving again, we will do MGM earlier in the week.

I forgot to tell you about the weather. It can vary so much down there. It was cold & rainy at the beginning of the week and shorts weather during the last part of the week. You really need to be prepared for anything. :) Of course, we broke down and bought the Mickey ponchos and it didn't rain again after that.:rotfl:
