WDW During a Hurricane

We were there for Hurricane Wilma and the day before it was to make landfall the staff at POR left us a message in the room letting us know the parks would be closed, limited staff and dining options would be available and they would call us when the parks reopened.

The next morning they had characters in the lobby entertaining the kids and the parks opened at 2

Aug. AND Sept. are peak months for hurricanes but they do occur in June and july, but more often there may be tropical storms during rthat time period, not full blown hurricanes.

FASCINATING PICTURES! Especially the one of the guy sloshing through the water, shows how much rain you got! Those were during Jeanne I assume? That was a small one compared to the destruction of Charley! Thanks for the pictures!

Remember "Fay"?

I was there through that strom, 11 days! Some days, we were rained in. This was at the Polynisian, too. Other days, raining or not, we'd get our ponchos on and go to MK. No lines really, though.

I don't say "oh, go during a hurricane!" but, again, no lines, it was fun, like every year!
