WDW/DL Park Hopper question

I just found out that DH and I will be able to go to Disneyland together this fall. (Woohoo!!) Before I dash off to buy park hoppers, I have a question that I hope someone out there can answer. I currently have a child's WDW park hopper with one day remaining on it. Is there a way that I can credit this ticket towards the purchase of an ADULT DL park hopper? Mousesavers.com does say that you can exchange a WDW park hopper for a DL hopper because the WDW hoppers are considerably more expensive; so Disney actually comes out way ahead in this case. But, since I only have a child's hopper, I'm not sure if they will let me apply it in any way or not. TIA

The short answer: You cannot apply that ticket towards the purchase of a DL ticket.

DL is not connected to the WDW ATS ticketing database. That means that they cannot do all the things that Guest Relations at WDW can do such as applying unused dollar value. DL cannot even read the ticket to see what's on it.

Disney makes the exception in allowing the use of a WDW PH(P) day to be used for admission to one DL park (you don't get a PH ticket at DL when you do this, you get admission to a single park). And even allowing that means that DL Guest Relations must telephone WDW Guest Relations to verify the WDW PH(P) and have the day's DL admission removed from the ticketing record of that ticket in the ATS database. But they do not allow dollar credits to be used between the two parks in the same way you cannot turn in a DL ticket for credit at WDW towards a new WDW ticket.

Thanks for the reply. Now I've got another question...Am I able to apply the child's PH towards an adult PH at WDW? As you can probably tell, I'd love to be able to somehow "cash" this child's PH in, one way or another. Otherwise, I guess I may just "have to" take DD back again some time soon. TIA

do not forget to check your local AAA for ticket prices for DL

seems to me i saw it on the "ticket" board the other day when i was getting some maps
