WDW Deluxe Resorts - Your Top 3 / Bottom 3?

From what I can see, these are the 8 WDW Deluxe Resort options. If you had to pick your top 3 and your bottom 3 from this list what would they be?

Well, I've never stayed at Beach club or Grand Floridian, and the only time I stayed at the Contemporary was in 1984 when I was a child. All the others I have stayed in the last 5 years or so.
Of the ones I've (more recently) stayed in I would rank them

1. Boardwalk
2. Wilderness Lodge
3. Animal Kingdom Lodge
4. Yacht Club
5. Polynesian

Beach club, I don't have a strong desire to stay there; the Boardwalk is in the same general area and if I wanted the access to storm along bay I'd choose to stay at Yacht club. Beach club just seems "louder" to me.

Grand Floridian is usually out of my budget, and I'm not really a fan of the monorail.

Contemporary is high on my list to stay at again.

Very hard to choose the bottom 3 as I love those three as well. Top 3 was easy. In no particular order.

Haven't stayed at CR or YC, but out of the others, my rankings (in order) are:

Top 3:

1. Poly
2. BWI
3. GF

Bottom 3:

1. WL/AKL
2. BC

Of the bottom 3, WL & AKL are equal and rank very close behind my top 3. The BC, however, was ok, but not one I have any desire to return to. Nothing wrong with it, just wasn't wow'd by the resort overall (including SAB).

AKL, though it’s tough to categorize this one as a bottom 3! I really love it, but the location is a disadvantage in my opinion.

Poly. And Poly CL is at the very bottom. It’s the one resort where I don’t have any interest in another CL stay.

Never stayed at the BC or YC but have a stay booked at BC in 2019. Can’t wait for that!

Never stayed at YC but have stayed at AKL once but don't like it's location.

This is my preference from top to bottom:
1. GF (opulent, beautiful décor)
2. YC (understated beauty)
3. BWI (no bad views, fun)
4. AKL (My favorite resort! This ranks low on my preference list due to its location)
5. Poly (don't love, don't hate)
6. BC (too loud, too casual)
7. Contemporary (too plain for my froufrou taste)
I have not stayed at WL but I don't think I would like the rustic atmosphere.
As you can tell, my preference is mostly based on the interior decorations and theme.

Although I could make a case for any resort on any given trip based on travel preferences, time of year, park touring needs, rates/discounts, etc. I’ve stayed at 2 of my bottom 3 in the past year and would gladly do so again given the right trip circumstances, they just aren’t necessarily my top preferences.

I can’t really designate a top or bottom 3. We try to stay at a different resort each time and we loved Poly, WL, YC, and CR. The GF was great we just prefer the others mentioned. AKL was ok. We got up early and came back late so really did not get to see the animals and we had a long walk to the elevator from our room. We have never stayed at BC or BW.

I've stayed in them all within the last few years and I loved them all. My top three would easily be:

1. Wilderness Lodge
2. Contemporary
3. Boardwalk

I had a really hard time ranking the Contemporary and Boardwalk; ask me on another day and they might be in opposite order. My hands down favorite will always be the beautiful Wilderness Lodge.

I have a more difficult time ranking my bottom three but they'd be (best to worst):

4. Grand Floridian
5. Polynesian
6. Animal Kingdom

I have stayed at all the deluxes and having a bottom three isn't fair because I do like them all for their own reasons... but here you go:

I guess this makes GF and Boardwalk my middle.

Honestly, all of the deluxe resorts are great and choosing one greatly depends on what you are looking for and your budget.

I’ve been fortunate to stay at them all. My favorites are Polynesian, Boardwalk, AKL and WL. But I say in all seriousness you can’t go wrong with any of them. I’ve really taken to doing split stays if I’m there for at least a week. It gives you a chance to really maximize your time at parks that are very close to your resort and take advantage of what your resort has to offer by cutting down on your transportation time.

Technically, 2 different categories. Even if both are Deluxe
Even resorts with both, BWI and BWV or WL and CC/BRV they are very different rooms
