Using the same technology as Pal Mickey and the Hanheld Captioning system, Disney's "Ears to the World" personal translator units are now available at all 4 WDW theme parks.
The units are adjustable headsets and translate the soundtracks of many popular theme park attractions (and a bit of general information) in French, German, Spanish, Portugese, and Japanese.
Guests wishing to use Disney's Ears to the World system must make a $100 credit card deposit (which will be fully refunded upon return of the unit). The units are available at Guest Relations at each park.
I was able to test Disney's orielles a la monde en Francaise aujourdui, et c'est marvelleux! (please forgive my spelling)... The narration given for TTA (the attraction I used the system on) was timed almost perfectly. The system even includes character voices in each language (Timon and Pumbaa mention Disney's Wild About Safety program).
Je parle et comprende meullier que j'ecrit (is that how you say "write"???)
