Hmmmmmm, it looks like it's time to visit WDW/Epcot again...now where did I put those DVC points...

YUM!

YUMMMMM!!! If there's one thing I like more than Mexican drinks, it's Mexican snacks!!

You've gotta be kidding me, you really only went around one time?!? Something must have been wrong with you guys that night! :rotfl:

I know!

Whenever we want to go to a country that's really closer to go backwards, we're always like Hamm from Toy Story 2 trying to find the right channel...

"Too late, gotta go around the horn!!"

You had me laughing out loud on this one!!! :lmao:

Day 6 ~ July 24, 2009
Animal Kingdom AM
(Ugh, I'm getting sad! It's the last day in WDW!!!)

So remember the Min and Bill's pretzel and how I like to recreate good moments on past trips? Well, there was one year we went to AK first thing in the morning and got a cinnamon bun and a frozen coffee drink from the Royal Anandapur Tea Co. So that was the plan for this morning. No rushing to EE for a FP, just relaxing with our breakfast.

Well, we walked into AK and headed that way when all of a sudden, a CM stopped us across from It's Tough to Be A Bug and pointed us in the direction of the Super Secret Fast Pass Machines!! She said she was just told about it this morning but it still didn't click with me that this was something that isn't always there. Well even though we had no plans to FP EE, how could we pass this opportunity up? There were machines for EE, Dinosaur and KS. The only problem is that you couldn't tell in advance what time you were going to get for your FP.

After getting our FPs, we went to get our breakfast.

ry%3D480

These monkeys are so FUNNY in the morning!! If you go there in the afternoon, they'll swing around and stuff but in the morning, they are LOUD!!! It's like they're screaming at each other, it's hilarious!! I was just giggling the whole time I was eating breakfast.

Okay, so remember I said yesterday Tom started complaining that his elbow hurt a little bit? And remember the night before that, he had an encounter with a hammock that possibly could have been the cause? Well, he said it started feeling worse today, and was kind of red and swollen...so we thought it best if we take a picture.

Okay, now the scab is completely unrelated, he got a cut two nights before the wedding, but you can see it's red and swollen. Nothing an aleve can't help!
ry%3D480

We just wanted to kind of walk around and enjoy AK this morning, so, of course, we took some pics!

Tom's fav AK store.

ry%3D480

And while we were browsing through Chester and Hester's, I heard my name once again!! This time it was SusanC, who I knew from our cruise thread!

ry%3D480

Next, we walked over to EE because our it was almost our FP time. BUT as soon as we got there, a man came over and gave us his FPs that were about to expire! So we used his and got on right away. We were going to ride again, but Tom felt like the ride was kind of banging his elbow, so we returned the favor and gave OUR FPs to another newlywed couple!

I love this spot in AK. It used to be a smoking section but it seems they really cut back on them since the last time we were there.

Day 6 ~ July 24, 2009
Epcot - Lunch at Biergarten!!

So from AK, we hopped on a bus right to Epcot. We had an ADR for the Biergarten at 1:05.

Once again, we headed straight back to WS to take a lap around the lagoon. We stopped in China so Tom could take a crack at that basin.
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

It did not take long before it became very clear just how hot it was today. We continuted walking around hot and exhausted until our ADR time.

Tom was getting huuunngry!

ry%3D480

I was a little nervous about this restaurant for a few reasons. First of all, I'm so picky about food so it was a good thing it was a buffet so I can pick what I want after seeing it first. Second of all, I was unsure about the seating arrangements. We are very friendly but get a little weirded out by being forced to be with strangers, so I wasn't sure how this would go. Remember, we're from NY/NJ, where people mostly keep to themselves. We pretty much like to be left alone. (Which worked out great for us on the cruise. ;))

So anyway, we sit with a family of 5, who at first don't seem to have an interest in talking to us, which is FINE with us!. We just kind of say "hello" and then order our drinks and get our food. I ordered the beer flight and Tom got a Spaten Optimator!
ry%3D480

Okay, so when we sat down, we had a solo guest who sat next to Tom. She was GREAT! Very talkative and you can tell she's used to being a solo traveler. She was very easy to talk to and sort of brought us together with the other family at the table. If she didn't come in and start talking, we probably wouldn't have spoken to that other family at all.

I took tons of pics of the buffet but I am not going to post them all so I'll just post our plates.
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

I LOVED it in there! I'd never been before!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Uh Oh! Out of beer!
ry%3D480

No problem! Optimator please!
ry%3D480

Okay, now I have to say, you wouldn't guess it from this TR, but I am NOT a big drinking regularly. If I try to drink at a bar or gathering, I usually have 2 beers and get a headache so I just avoid it. I'd rather have water.

BUT, there's something about being in the WDW/Epcot environment that makes it easier for me to get tipsy without the headache. I think it's because I'm happy, in a good mood and doing something instead of just standing around drinking, ya know?

So after my beer flight and a large Spaten, I'm feeling pretty good! Remember before dinner I said we were hot and tired? Well this place totally rejuvinated us!! We felt fantastic!!!

We left the Biergarten and decided to get ONE more beer from Somerfest TO GO! They only have Spaten Octoberfest but we ask nicely and they actually went into the restaurant to get us Spaten Optimator!! YAY!!

So off we go with our beer to take pictures around WS!!!

Up Next: Fun "tipsy" pictures and THE BEST PHOTOPASS SPOT EVER!!!!! (Well, at least in my opinion!)

Germany IS a fun place to eat-yum! I've always thought it was one of the more entertaining countries too-not dull, quiet or refined in there!:rotfl:
I can't wait for the awesome picture!!!

Sorry guys, but BFF Beth is over and it's time for Mario Kart! Fun tipsy pictures will have to wait until tomorrow!!!

hahaha Tipsy around World Showcase. It could be a video on youtube lol

I know, I'm so glad I tried it. We will definitely go back!

It's a shame that you can't just go in and enjoy it like you can in Mexico.

July 24, 2009 ~ AFTER drinks pics!
EPCOT!

So we started walking counterclockwise and saw ANOTHER sneaky photopass photographer in China!! ANOTHER place I'd never seen one before!! Wooo Hooo!!

ry%3D480

Okay, so I'm not sure if I mentioned it before, but Mexico is my FAVORITE pavilion! Ever since I was a kid, I just love it inside. I love the lighting, I love the carts, I love the mariachi band...everything!

Side note - So when I got my last camera, I was so excited that it had a night setting and all I could talk about was how the next time we went to WDW, I was going to get the PERFET Mexico shot!!! Seriously, I must have been talking about if for a year. (Because you KNOW how those pics never come out good. So on our LAST trip, I set up my gorrillapod and here's what I got! (This was from March '08)

Okay, back to the tipsy WS pics. So we walked toward Mexico....
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

I don't even know how we got the picture of the two of us! I guess we asked someone. :confused3

HERE'S THE BEST PART!!! Soooooo, we walk into the Mexican Pavilion and what I saw next made my jaw hit the floor!! A PHOTOPASS PHOTOGRAPHER I N MY FAVORITE PICTURE SPOT!!!!!!! I think I started jumping up and down!! Tom was like, "I think you may have imagined this into a reality!"

ry%3D480

Some more Mexican pavillion pics!
ry%3D480

Honey, take my picture with the big sombrero!! (Notice where my ears are!)
ry%3D480

Something's just not right.....I know! I need maracas!! Much better!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

So we left WS on :cloud9:!! Here are some more pics we got on the way out. You can tell we are looking a little disheveled!

Tom heading toward his favorite store, MouseGear!
ry%3D480

Had to catch the Photopass guy!
ry%3D480

The sun was in my eyes!!
ry%3D480

I LOVE this picture! I think I might blow it up and frame it!
ry%3D480

Oh good! The fountain's back on!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Again, not QUITE sure how we got this picture of the two of us, but luck was on our side! I'm pretty sure someone saw Tom taking pics of me and asked if we wanted the two of us. Usually when that happens, I ask if they want ME to take a pic of them, although I can't be responsible for the quality of the picture that I took for them that day....
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Then it was back to the Poly to rest until it was time to get our rental car..................
ry%3D480

Up Next: Rental Car disaster! And the MK.

That was AWESOME!!!! I think the secret to attracting photopass peeps is wearing bride ears:scratchin
I really love the pic of you and Tom holding the balloons too:goodvibes

Sorry guys, but BFF Beth is over and it's time for Mario Kart! Fun tipsy pictures will have to wait until tomorrow!!!

We love Mario Kart...although Mark and the girls beat me every single time. I'm a good driver in real life, but I can't stay on the road in Mario Kart. I hope you and Beth had fun!

I'm glad you liked Biergarten -- I'm really excited for my parents to eat there next month -- I think they're going to like it!

As for Tom's elbow -- ouch!

The trick form Mario Kart is to use the wii remote and nunchuck instead of the wheel and to put it on automatic handling instead of manual. :thumbsup2

Is your Wii connected to the internet? We can play together! When my sister was pregnant and on bed rest, we'd talk on speaker phone and race each other!

Oooh -- I'll have to try using the remote and nunchuck instead of the wheel, plus putting it on automatic! Thanks for the tip! Our Wii isn't connected to the internet yet but we're working on it.

I can relate to your sister being on bedrest -- I did that with both pregnancies -- not fun!
