WDW Completely Out of Bride & Groom Ears

I made a trip to DTD this afternoon. The beanie style bride ears and the bride ears headbands are available at DTD. I looked in all the shops that normally carry ears at DTD. There are no groom ears available.

I was looking at possibly buying the groom tophat ears and the headband on ebay as a combo deal for $50... what is the typical pricing on these?

And if they are discontinuing the tophat with mickey ears, I would like to go ahead and get it, as I don't like the new rendition of the hat, as well as I have heard rumors of them getting rid of the hat, and headbands for newlyweds all together.

Thanks!

No, Disney's head of Marketing Synergy etc. etc. confirmed just a few days ago that the ear hats and headbands are here to stay cuz they're top sellers. It's only the groom top hat that has been discontinued.

OH ok, well that is good to know!

I did cave and buy the top hat ears and bridal headband on ebay, so let's just hope it fits my Fiance's head... :D

If not I plan on buying an inexpensive top hat and making my own version!

Hi not sure if it would be interest to you, but there is a Disney/mickey mouse trilby on eBay at the min. If that's more your grooms style. Not sure how to post links but I'm sure if u searched Disney trilby there wouldn't be that many

I bought both the bride beanie style & groom top hat last May for my son's wedding in June, since they were headed to WDW for their honeymoon. I was sent the groom beanie style instead of the top hat, but Disney shopping was quick to send the top hat, letting us keep the beanie style groom hat. I didn't like that style as much, but we then had an extra hat for my grandson, who was the ring bearer, to wear. I thought it was more suited to a child than an adult. :) Personally, if I had seen the ball caps Lurkeyloo had made, I would have done that, as they seem much more practical.

Thanks Carrie for posting the baseball cap instructions! We have the beanie style hat for my groom - but it doesn't fit his head so well! He's not too excited about the top hat either - but he's a baseball coach, so he wears baseball caps everyday! I'll have to sell him on this idea! Does anyone know if you could just buy the ears at the make your own hat store? I'm going to be at Disney tomorrow for my planning session, so I may have to check that option out!

I bought just ears from the Create Your Own hat store yesterday, the black ears were $2.50 and the white ears were on sale for $.79. Now I have to figure out how gluing them on the hat is going to work. Haha

Just wanted to let you all know that I bought the groom top hat and bride headband off ebay. They are the real deal and fit my groom...so were good to go! The seller had 4 left...so goodluck ladies!:)

I love the idea of turning a baseball cap into the ears. They should sell those :)

That's probably what I'll do for my Fiance. I don't think he'd like the beanie, either.

I do like the sparkly veil ears, but they don't really say "bride" to me. Plus, I'm afraid that veil will get in the way a lot. idk. I may buy them, shorten the veil, and embroider "Just Married" on the bottom of the veil so they really look like bride ears.
