Here's hoping with all fingers crossed that everyone stays healthy leading up to the last few days to the date of departure. My DS7 came down with the flu 2 days before we left on our drive to DL in Feb. Didn't realize it was the flu, until we were almost at DL, as the symptoms were close to the ones he get's with his allergies. Commando that I am, I did have most of the drugs to treat his bug, but had to get a decongestant for his ears, as it hit his ears really badly. So the poor guy was at his sickest the 5 days we were in the parks. I think he really did enjoy the trip, but felt bad that he was sick during the most fun part of it. So our next trip to the mouse (DL) the end of next month is almost a make up trip for him, even though it wasn't planned that way. In fact this 2nd trip wasn't planned at all this year until I won 3 nights accommodation, and DH in his infinite wisdom decided to make the most out of my AP before it expires in Oct.

I'm glad you had meds on hand for your DS, I hope he is 110% for the next trip, I can say if I'm not feeling well on a trip thats one thing, but if my DS or DW got sick I don't know how well I would handle it, since I would be almost helpless.

I can relate to your DH about getting the most of the AP, I don't have one for Disney, but I do have one for Busch properties, within the 1st 2 weeks it was already used enough to be paid for by now it has paid for itself 4 or 5 times over and we still have till the end of Dec Use that AP all you can

Getting close now I'm not counting down the hrs or mins it just makes it seem longer I like to go with seconds they go by fast, in 295200 secs I'll be there In less then 300000 I hope to score a Transportation Card

While I tend to pack very light for myself, the one thing I've never done is pack light on the drugs, and always bring the equivalent of a medicine cabinet with me when traveling. You never know when someone is going to get sick, and I'd rather have the drugs on hand, rather than trying to search out what I need in a city I'm a stranger in. The way I view things is if I don't use any of it GREAT, it stocks up the house when we get home from the trip.

we do the same thing. we take everything but the kitchen sink with us. thats why we drive, no airline would have us. not only the med. cabnet gets restocked but so does the snack cabnet, socks and underwear supply.

ron wanted us to talk about some facts, i have some.

i talked to ron on the dis for about a year and found out we were going to be at wdw the same time this past december. we were texting each other for a few days while we were there and just couldnt seem to be in the same park at the same time. (he moves fast ) well, i finally got a chance to meet ron in person. (hes on the left.) if you ever get the chance, you have to meet him. nicest guy you would want to meet and he probley covers more ground in 3 days than i do in two weeks. if i would have to think of anyone to be the leader of the commando thread, rons it!! have a good trip buddy!!

This way I can pack their suitcases without them wondering where their clothes up and disappeared to. My DS8 and DS7 are very hard on clothes and shoes (what can I say, they're boys), so by the trip comes around they could use the clothes. They are starting to clue into what I'm up to though, so will have to find ways to outsmart them. Especially DS8, who's starting to clue into what evil mom is up to. I seem to have that same mop of hair (5th Beatle look), at least until I get to The Harmony Barber Shop

Can't wait to start scoring TTC's, failure is not a option
