We are going to WDW for the first time and will be at CBR. Do guests get a brochure telling what the park hours are, shows and show location & hours, bus information etc? It's very easy for my family to sit back and say we'll just wing it but we only have 3 full days there and I have a feeling it will be overwhelming.

I received my Cirque tickets the other day. They look like 7 pretty Cirque credit cards. There is nowhere on them that says which is the childs ticket or what date or time the performance is. I had to call WDW to make sure they are correct. They are. I think the Cirque theater is in Downtown Disney because they also included a $5 off coupon for Planet Hollywood. We're clueless!

Hello Linda !

I believe that you should be able to get those brochures at check-in, but I am not certain.Either way, the CM's at your hotel will be able to provide you with what you need to know.

Did you know that you can visit the WDW website to view park hours for whatever parks you need?
Simply go to WWW.WALTDISNEYWORLD.COM and click on "PARKS" then "HOURS".
You'll be able to select what month you want hours shown for.Right now hours are available through Dec 2002.

Another GREAT website for information is http://www.wdwig.com/. By searching this site you can find almost anything you'd like to know about WDW.

Finally, this board is filled with super friendly folks who will be more than happy to help you along the way.Have a question.........just ask ;)

Happy Planning!!

I've stayed at the GF and PO-FQ in the last year, and both times I've been given the following at checkin:

A map of the resort
A map of the whole property, with transportation info
Brochures for each of the 4 theme parks and a water parks brochure
A guide to the resort - what services are available and how to get them
An 'update' guide that has park hours and special entertainment info

If there's anything that you need that they don't give you, there's usually a guest relations desk right near check-in that can help you.

If it's your first trip, you might not want to 'wing it' too much. ;) I just came back from my seventh trip and I still read the guidebooks thoroughly before I go. I'd strongly recommend at least buying the Birnbaum guide before you go; it's packed full of useful info and is light enough to bring with you as a reference. There's SO much to see and do at WDW that it can be overwhelming for the first-timer; you'll have a better time if you have a good guidebook to refer to.

Oh, and yes, Cirque is at Downtown Disney West Side, at the very end of the complex by the Virgin Megastore and House of Blues. You can't miss it, it's in an enormous white tent.

Have a great trip!

Thanks Lynne & Chris. I just ordered Birnbaum's guide from Amazon and was reassured by what Lynne said will be available at CBR. I want to make the most of our vacation. It's expensive and I would rather be informed. You're right, I've learned so much from DISers and they've been so helpful!

You get all that stuff at check in at CBR. In addition, as you leave the food court, there is a board with all hours updated daily, as well as at the Pool Bar.
