We've only been to WDW for Thanksgiving or Christmas. What are the major differences between the Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday and Easter? Obviously, there won't be any Christmas holiday decorations or shows. Are there any Easter shows? The temperatures should be warmer. How cool can it get? This past Christmas we wore our winter coats at WDW. We wore mostly pants and only rare shorts. Should the crowds be about the same? Will PS's etc. be just as difficult to get? Do they generally have extended open hours?

This past easter was our first holiday trip. I havent been there any other holiday except valentines and fathers day so I cant help you with that, but I can tell you it was pretty crowded. My ds thought it was funny that there were actual lines just to get a fastpass and the fastpass return times were like 6 hours later, not good if park hopping was on your schedule. Alot of times busses were standing room only. I made all our ps well before we left. I even had a hard time getting chef mickey and could only get 8:30 pm one night. We planned to stay away from the MK on easter day. If you are staying onsite alot of the resorts have egg hunts for the little ones. Special brunches were at chef mickey and I think the swan and dolphin had something, but expensive. We went to epcot for the day. It was not too crowded, we did breakfast at cape may buffet, it was really crowded there, and at epcot they were pushing the alice in wonderland tea in england, i think its free but you had to sign up. I think they are doing something in epcot this year too. We went to mgm for dinner at hollywood and vine, that was totally packed and busy. If you plan well you will have a great time.

We will be at POP too over Easter. I have worked very hard on making a schedule with PS about a month ago. We are going to CM, RFC, andCP. We plan on staying away from MK on Easter. and using the extra hours. I think as long as you know it will be crowded and patience, humor, and planning are the keys. As far as weather....usual day 75-78 night 60??? so pack everything! :wave2: Here's hoping for great weather and lots of happy people! :teeth:

We went Easter week in 1999 and it was VERY crowded. MK was open until midnight and even though we were there from 9am to midnight, we did not get as much accomplished as on other trips (obviously, this is before FP). I knew nothing about making PS's in advance and we wound up taking what was available that day. Make your PS's as early as possible. We spent Easter Sunday at Seaworld to avoid the mobs at WDW. That was nice because the crowds were not too bad there. It was very hot that week too.... high 80's to low 90's, which was a shock coming from the northeast.
In 1998 we went 2 weeks after Easter and there was a huge crowd difference!! We walked on to most rides, and got all the PS's we wanted the same day. It was also alot milder weather wise, with temps in the 70's. Weather could go either way for you, but that week will certainly be crowded.
