I am thinking about adding a few days at Vero Beach at the end of our stay at the BCV in August. It would only be for 2-3 nights.

It seems like it would be a relaxing way to end a vacation.

Is this a good idea? Is 2-3 nights enough time to spend at Vero??

Also-we would need to rent a car-how can you get a rental car delivered to your resort?

Thanks for any info!!

One more question....how do I find out more info on the kid's club??

At VB, the activities are posted in the lobby. There probably is a printout too, but I remember the presentation of the activities in the lobby. We've often visited VB after a visit to WDW, in two weeks, we're doing VB first. It's just been too long (1 1/2 years) since we've been there.

Enterprise will pick you up at your resort, and the Car Care Center (Alamo, I think the National part of the service is being phased out) will also pick you up. We've used both, and each was fine. We use whichever one is the best buy.

Have a great trip!

Yes, it is a wonderful idea! I would do no less than 3 nights. But be careful, you may end up wanting to add points there for those beach cottages! That's what happened to me ;)

We did a Vero stay before going to WDW once and we loved it! We stayed two nights, and that wasn't quite long enough. I think when we do it again, we'll go at the end of our WDW stay and stay for three nights.

We did get a printout of the kids' activities when we checked in. We weren't able to do a lot with so short a visit, but the kids loved the pool games and the campfire singalong.

We did it the opposite way and did 5 nights at Vero followed by 5 nights at VWL. I would highly reccomend doing Vero especially if you have kids. Our boys (5 & 8 at the time) loved Vero. And we loved being able to relax. I never find a Disneyworld vacation relaxing but you can't help but relax at Vero. There is always someting to do if you want to, but mostly we just layed by the pool or hung out on the beach. If you do have kids, I would suggest getting the length of stay pass for the mini golf. Our kids played about 50 games of mini golf...it was more like hockey than mini-golf since they would hit the ball and then run after it and keep hitting it until it went in the hole! The nice thing was that it is all enclosed so the parents chill by the pool while the kids run between the pool and mini golf!

Can you tell I like Vero!

We're doing this in May. We're going to VB from Sunday to Wednesday, then to SSR from Wednesday night to Saturday. It's right after DN's finals week at school, so she's looking forward to crashing on a beach chair and doing NOTHING for a couple of days. After 3 days of that, she'll be ready to roll on to WDW and go wild.

VB was the first DVC resort I ever stayed in, I was a guest of a member. WOW, I fell in love. It was definately a factor in my decision to buy DVC. I've always loved WDW, but being able to do a trip like this was a really attractive option.

We'll be adding 4 nights on to the end of a BCV stay in September. You could always pick up your rental car at the Alamo desk at the Dolphin, I'm not sure which option is cheaper.

My husband I just did this in February: 5 nights at WDW followed by 2 at VB.
It was a very relaxing way to end our vacation. We have talked about doing it again, but we may reverse the order and start at Vero Beach as I really hated leaving WDW! Enjoy

We started out just going to WDW - then one year we split our week long trip up - 5/6 nights at OKW and 2 at Vero. Now we often do fewer nights at WDW and more at Vero. The problem is that then we had to buy Vero points :). Same situation after we visited Hilton Head :). A great way to relax after the hussle and bussle of WDW. Great castmembers work there!:thumbsup2

We sound just like the rest of you. After one short visit to VB to check it out we added a small contract there. We like to stay two nights at the beginning of our visit, followed by 6 nights at WDW--YMMV.

I'd like to stay longer, but vacations are a finite length (sigh) so that's the best way for us to split it up.

we're hooked too! I would love to spend 3 nights at VB after every WDW trip. My goal is to stay in the beach cottage!
