coasters are all legit at that park, outside of that it's borderline carnival levels. It was definitely better when i was a kid (although it may have been i was too young to care or pay enough attention)I guess I am just not sufficiently discriminating, but I had a great time at SFNE when I went.
It's also worth pointing out that an amusement park is not a theme park. They have many elements in common, and there are some that straddle the boundary (SF Fiesta Texas comes to mind), but they are not trying to be the same thing.
I happen to like amusement parks and theme parks. I'm an equal-opportunity fun seeker. And when it comes to amusement parks, SFNE has a pretty good lineup. Superman, in particular, is fantastic. That drop into the tunnel is a thing!
And now we can be free of the disaster that is Six Flags America. Closing at the end of 2025 season.I live near Six Flags America and see King's Dominion ads way more often. That park is garbage. Doesn't help that tickets are overpriced for what is on offer.
I should've known this was happening sooner when I was in the car the other day and the radio was playing an advert for Six Flags Great Adventure over in NJ and not SFA. I knew this would happen after the merger because this park is a dump. Can't say I'll miss it tbh. Hershey is a way better park and worth the 1 1/2-2 hour drive. And now we can be free of the disaster that is Six Flags America. Closing at the end of 2025 season.
New Six Flags Corporate probably didn’t even have to enter the parking lot before deciding to sell it off.I should've known this was happening sooner when I was in the car the other day and the radio was playing an advert for Six Flags Great Adventure over in NJ and not SFA. .....also dang just realized the last post here was from August 2024 LOL
As bad as the park was, it still sucks when a park closes. Especially one with some history to it. It has B&Ms first coaster, the 3rd Intamin Mega coaster and the last standing Vekoma flying DutchmanAnd now we can be free of the disaster that is Six Flags America. Closing at the end of 2025 season.
Ask anyone that lives in the area and they'll tell you it's a dump. Everyone goes to King's Dominion or Hershey.New Six Flags Corporate probably didn’t even have to enter the parking lot before deciding to sell it off.
Yep, the only thing keeping it afloat was Hurricane Harbor. Since Hershey added the Boardwalk area and has continued to expand it, even less reason to set foot in SFA.Ask anyone that lives in the area and they'll tell you it's a dump. Everyone goes to King's Dominion or Hershey.
May 22Disney is not in a good place, Im not going into the reasons (there are many). Universal seems to be on a roll. So how long before Universal overtakes Disney in Orlando?
Coming from someone with an admitted bias towards Disney, not for me.May 22
